Camp+McConnell+is+located+three+miles+east+of+Livingston%2c+along+the+Merced+River%2e+This+5%2e8+acre+site+is+used+for+adult+and+junior+leader+training%2c+Cub+Scout+Resident+Camp%2c+and+year+round+camping%2e+Several+campsites+are+located+in+a+grove+of+trees+near+the+river%2e+One+permanent+building+is+located+on+the+northwestern+portion+of+the+property%2e+This+building+has+a+multipurpose+room%2c+fully+equipped+kitchen%2c+first+aid+room%2c+and+men%27s+and+women%27s+rest+rooms+with+showers%2e+There+are+separate+use+fees+for+camping%2c+multipurpose+room%2c+and+kitchen%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aCub+Scouts+use+this+camp+for+day+camp%2c+resident+camp%2c+Camp+Akela%2c+and+Webelos+activities%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aBoy+Scout+Troops+use+this+camp+for+overnight+camping%2e+It+is+an+excellent+site+to+teach+young+Scouts+basic+skills%2e+Also%2c+Boy+Scout+Junior+Leader+Training+programs+are+held+here%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aAdult+leaders+hold+scout+leader+basic+training+courses+and+regional+Wood+Badge+advanced+training+courses+are+held+here%2c+in+rotation+with+the+other+councils+in+this+region%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aOther+groups+and+organizations+are+invited+to+use+these+facilities%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a
