Camp+Geiger+is+the+best+camp+ever%21%0d%0a%0d%0aI+have+been+going+there+for+4+years+and+Camp+Geiger+has+of+the+best+percentage+of+returning+scouts%2e+Camp+Geiger+also+is+one+of+the+only+two+camps+that+has+the+Tribe+of+Mic%2dO%2dSay%2e+Camp+Geiger+is+one+of+the+top+10+camps+in+the+nation%2e+Camp+Geiger+was+the+birthplace+of+the+popular+activity+for+older+scouts%2c+C%2eO%2eP%2eE%2e+If+you+are+looking+for+a+new+camp+for+you%27re+troop+to+go+to+you+should+really+consider+Camp+Geiger%2e+Be+one+of+the+few%2e+%0d%0a
Our+troop+just+returned+from+our+first+week+long+camp+at+Geiger%2e++The+Staff%2c+programing%2c+food+and+facilities+were+all+excellent%21++We+plan+to+return+to+Camp+Geiger+next+year+and+we+will+continue+to+go+there+as+long+as+the+our+scouts+enjoy+the+program%2e++IT+WAS+GREAT%21+%0d%0a
Experienced+Camp+Geiger+from+1987+through+1992%2e+Both+sons+went+through+Geiger+and+all+of+us+are+members+of+the+Tribe+of+Mic%2dO%2dSay%2e++Wonderful+programs%2c+excellent+staff%2c+care+and+concern+throughout%2e++The+Pony+Express+Council+has+a+gem%2e++I%27m+sure+it+hasn%27t+changed+in+the+years+we%27ve+been+gone%2c+but+Uncle+Sam+moved+us+around+and+haven%27t+been+back%2e+We+all+miss+it+and+have+very+fond+memories+of+the+good+time+had+there%2e+%28Many+Stripes%2c+Little+Many+Stripes%2c+and+Least+Many+Stripes%29%0d%0a
Just+a+note+on+the+assertion+that+Geiger+and+H%2e+Roe+Bartle+are+the+only+two+Missouri+camps+with+Mic%2dO%2dSay+%2d+not+complete%21++Camp+Arrowhead%2c+Marshfield%2c+MO%2c+has+a+daughter+tribe%2c+the+Tribe+of+Lone+Bear%2c+which+honors+and+looks+to+Mic%2dO%2dSay+at+Bartle+as+its+mother+tribe%2e++Princess+Lone+Bear+%28daughter+of+H%2e+Roe+Bartle%29+even+visited+us+during+ceremonies+last+year+%2d+what+a+treat%21++Knowing+that+this+fine+program+has+reached+so+far+south+in+Missouri+is+very+exciting%3b+knowing+we+have+Geiger+as+another+alternative+for+visiting+as+a+Tribesman+is+great+information+to+have%2e%0d%0a
Camp+Geiger+%28Pony+Express+Council%2c+St%2e+Joseph%2c+Missouri%29%2e++The+staff+at+Geiger+was+the+best+I%27ve+encountered+in+40%2b+years+of+Scouting%2e++The+entire+focus+of+the+camp+is+on+helping+scouts+advance%3b+but+every+MB+had+to+be+earned%2c+none+were+given%2e++Excellent+food+and+dining+hall%2e++Campfire+programs+were+awesome+%2e%2e%2e+better+than+some+professional+theatre+productions%21++Mic%2dO%2dSay+is+what+the+OA+should+be%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0a
Camp+Geiger+opened+a+new+COPE+area+and+tower+this+year+along+with+an+expanded+shooting+sports+area%2e++Last+week+the+camp+had+scouts+and+leaders+in+attendance+from+Nebraska%2c+Iowa%2c+Illinois%2c+Arkansas%2c+and+Oklahoma+in+addition+to+in%2dcouncil+units+from+Missouri+and+Kansas%2e++Outstanding+regional+camp%2e%0d%0a
Camp+Geiger+is+continually+trying+to+improve%2c+this+year+they+have+created+a+new+Teepee+campground+called+Short+Arrow+Campground%2e++They+have+many+plans+for+upgrading+and+improving+the+camp+to+better+serve+the+growing+number+of+scouts+coming+to+it+from+all+over+the+country%2e++They+have+some+great+leadership+that+are+truly+dedicated+to+making+sure+Camp+Geiger+will+be+a+top+camp+for+scouts%2e++They+have+a+great+new+dinning+hall%2c+trading+post+and+the+shooting+sports+are+first+rate%2e++I+went+there+as+a+youth%2c+and+am+taking+my+cub+scout+son+there+for+his+first+resident+camp%2c+we+are+both+looking+forward+to+many+more+years+of+Camp+Geiger+and+her+memories%2e%0d%0a
The+camp+has+now+added+storm+shelters+all+but+two+of+the+campsites%2c+those+two+will+have+them+added+this+winter%2e++Each+one+includes+showers+and+toilets%2c+so+folks+don%27t+have+to+go+to+a+central+shower+or+squat+over+an+old+stinky+outhouse+hole%2e++Each+has+a+nice+pavilion+on+top+to+serve+as+a+wonderful+shaded%2fsheltered+meeting+place%2e%0d%0a
Camp+Geiger+has+finished+putting+in+all+the+storm+shelters%2c+and+as+an+added+bonus%2c+all+of+them+have+flush+toilets%2c+and+hot%2fcold+showers%2e++This+is+a+fantastic+upgrade%2c+no+more+having+the+hike+half+way+across+camp+to+take+a+shower%2c+and+half+way+on+the+way+back+you+were+just+as+sweaty+as+when+you+started%2e++Camp+Geiger+also+has+a+fantastic+selection+of+merit+badges+with+around+60+in+the+offering+this+year%2c+including+the+brand+new+Exploration%2c+Archaeology%2c+metal+working+and+so+many+more%2e++The+cost+is+really+quite+reasonable+too+at+%24262+before+April+1st+for+a+youth%2c+Adults+are+%24188%2e++This+camp+is+well+worth+the+effort+to+attend%2c+as+troops+from+as+far+away+as+Texas+well+attest%2e++In+fact+they+have+a+group+of+Brits+coming+over+this+summer%2e%0d%0a
