Wallwood+Boy+Scout+10Reservation+is+located+south+of+Quincy%2c+Florida%2c+on+Lake+Talquin+and+consists+of+over+600+acres+of+rolling+pine+and+oak+forests%2e+It+was+donated+primarily+by+the+Wall+and+Pittman+families+as+a+place+for+the+young+men+of+the+local+area+to+come+and+sharpen+their+Scouting+skills+and+apply+the+techniques+they+were+learning+in+their+troops+at+home%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aWallwood%2c+as+it+is+affectionately+known%2c+actually+consists+of+two+camps%2e+Camp+NeaMathla+is+the+base+camp+used+for+Summer+Camp+and+Camp+Tom+Matherly%2c+used+as+a+high+adventure+outpost%2e+Camp+Tom+Matherly+is+also+used+as+the+home+base+for+groups+using+the+council%27s+new+COPE+course%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aThe+camp+is+used+almost+every+weekend+of+the+year+by+Scouting+units+and+community+groups%2e+During+the+summer%2c+it+is+used+for+our+Boy+Scout+and+Webelos+resident+camps%2e+In+the+Spring+and+Fall+each+year%2c+the+camp+is+host+to+nearly+1000+Cub+Scouts+and+families+who+participate+in+the+Cub+Scout+Family+Weekend%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0a

Our+troop+went+to+Wallwood+for+week+two%2e++The+dining+hall+has+A%2fC+and+it+feels+wonderful%2e++The+food+is+plentiful+but+in+our+opinion+has+flaws%2e++The+troop+agreed+that+it+could+have+tasted+a+lot+better%2e++Personally+my+biggest+complaint+was+the+staff%2e++For+the+past+three+years+it+has+gotten+worse+and+worse%2e++They+seem+to+know%2fteach+a+little+less+every+year%2e++They+also+are+not+as+fired+up%2e++Used+to+they+would+sing+at+every+meal%2c+now+it+is+rare+that+they+sing%2e++I+really+hate+not+attending+next+year+as+I+have+so+many+fond+memories+of+Wallwood%2c+but+it+is+no+longer+a+good+idea+to+go+spend+money+and+time+to+learn+nothing+more+than+when+we+went%2e++For+example%2c+we+had+a+pioneering+instuctor%2c+he+said+he+did+not+know+how+to+tie+a+splice+so+he+showed+us+one+and+said%2c+%22we+will+just+call+this+done%2e%22+The+staff+is+really+nice+and+is+funny%2c+but+does+not+get+the+job+done%2e++This+will+break+a+huge+tradition+our+troop+has+so+our+group+will+have+a+bad+name+but%2c+it+needs+to+be+done+now%2e++Over+all+it+needs+a+face+lift%2e++If+something+was+done+now+it+would+not+cost+as+much%2c+but+it+will+probably+be+done+when+it+it+a+complete+hazard%2e++Our+recommendation+is+until+the+camp+is+cleaned+up+and+has+a+better+staff%2c+you+are+better+off+going+somewhere+else%2e%0d%0a
