A+good+time+to+camp+here+off+season+is+in+the+fall+when+the+North+Georgia+Mountains+explode+in+color%2e++One+particular+event%2c+which+lasts+over+three+weekends+in+October%2e++For+more+information+on+this+event+visit%3a%0d%0a%0d%0ahttp%3a%2f%2fwww%2eblairsvillechamber%2ecom%2fsorghum%2ehtm%0d%0a%0d%0aTwo+other+things+worth+doing+while+at+the+camp+are+visting+Brasstown+Bald+Mountain+%26+Visitor+Information+Center+%28Highest+Point+in+Georgia%29+and+taking+a+hike+on+the+nearby+Appalachian+Trail%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aThere+is+certainly+plenty+to+do+in+the+mountains+in+the+fall+and+the+camp+is+suprisingly+not+used+near+as+much+then+as+the+summer%2e++There+have+been+some+years+where+we+had+the+whole+camp+to+ourselves+even+as+other+parts+of+the+mountains+are+packed+with+Atlanta+tourists%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0a

I+haven%60t+been+there+yet+but+from+what+i+heard+it+is+going+to+be+a+great+time+so+thanks+for+listening+Caring+scout%0d%0a

Topnotch+facilities%2c+great+location%2c+enthusiastic+and+friendly+counselors%2e++Very+crowded%2c+usually+have+between+700+to+800+people+each+week%2c+operating+at+more+than+100%25+capacity%2e++Scouts+may+not+get+in+sessions+they+want%2c+and+there+are+long+lines+for+activities+during+free+periods%2e++Over+50+merit+badge+programs+are+offered%2e%0d%0a

Great+Camp%2c+w%2fOutstanding+Programs%21%21++Lake+is+clear+and+cool+water%2c+w%2fa+super+waterfront+%26+Annie+is+a+great+H2O+Director%2e+Merit+Badge+program+is+excellent+with+an+great+ecology+and+environmental+pravilion%2e++Nice+clean+shower+facilities%2c+execellent+dining+hall+with+salad+bar%2e++Take+on+their+Ultimate+program%2c+our+Troop+and+Crew+had+a+ball+with+this+one+in+2001%2e+We+will+be+back%21%21+%0d%0a

WSR+is+becoming+a+victim+of+its+own+success+and+is+becoming+too+over%2dcrowded%2e++You+must+sign+up+for+activities+in+late+winter+%2d+early+spring%2c+before+you+get+cross+overs+from+Cub+Packs%2e++These+first+year+campers+are+closed+out+of+most+popular+afternoon+activities+before+they+join+the+troop%2e++Facilities+are+showing+the+wear+and+tear+of+operating+at+125%25+of+capacity%2e++Heritage+Trek+sounded+like+a+good+idea%2c+but+poor+planning+and+execution+resulted+in+scouts+accomplishing+less+than+30%25+of+activities+that+were+promised+in+the+flyer+about+the+program%2e+We+have+never+been+out+of+council+for+camp%2c+but+are+seriously+considering+looking+for+a+smaller+camp+next+year%2e%0d%0a%0d%0abohan%40cit%2ecom%0d%0a%0d%0a

Our+troop+just+returned+from+Camp+Woodruff+%2d+the+program+was+top+notch%2c+the+camp+in+excellent+condition%2c+the+staff+very+well+trained+and+energetic%2c+many+levels+of+unique+scouting+experiences%2c+and+the+aquatics+were+wonderful+as+well%2e+I+highly+recommend+this+camp+to+all+interested%2e+++Troop+119+Fort+Myers%2c+FL%0d%0a

This+camp+is+great+for+new+scouts+and+it+has+some+of+the+most+coolest+merit+badge+courses+that+there+is+that+I++have+been+to%2e+It%27s+one+of+the+most+interesting+and+quiet+places+because+your+in+mountains+and+no+one+bothers+you%2e+The+walking+mite+be+some+trouble+for+the+new+scouts+but+they+will+get+use+to+it+after+the+time+goes+by%2e+%0d%0a

Great+summer+camp%2c+fun+new+scout+programs%2c+cool+counselors%2c+but+a+bit+of+a+climb+to+get+from+point+A+to+point+B%2e+%28Overall+279%25+fun%29%0d%0a

Week+7%2c+July+15%2d21%2c+2007%0d%0a%0d%0aGood+selection+of+programs%2c+great+spirit+between+staff+and+scouts%2c+awesome+closing+campfire%2e+Check%2din+was+quick+if+you+did+all+the+prep+work%2e+%0d%0a%0d%0aThe+food+was+so%2dso%2e+Quality+and+quantity+an+issue%2c+it+was+much+better+in+2003%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aDepending+on+your+campsite+assignment%2c+prepare+to+hike+in+the+higher+number+sites%2e%0d%0a

June+2009%3a+Just+back+from+my+third+camp+at+Woodruff%2e+It+is+the+Ritz+Carlton+of+all+BSA+Camps%2e+Excellent+facilities+and+second+to+none+staff+and+councilors%2e+Mountain+Man+a+must+for+first+year+scouters%2c+awesome+program%2e+There+is+plenty+for+everyone+to+do+all+the+time%21%0d%0a

June+2010%2e+We+attended+Camp+Woodruff+for+the+first+time+this+year%2e+In+the+past+we+have+gone+to+Camps+in+North+Carolina+with+chilly+lakes%2e+Woodruff+has+a+very+strong+Aquatics+and+COPE%2fClimbing+program%2e+The+facilities+are+very+good+although+some+campsites+are+a+long+walk+ours+%28Site+16%29+was+OK%2e+Some+drawbacks+are+that+the+program+schedules+are+more+complicated+than+other+camps+we+have+attended%2e+Food+was+OK+but+not+great+%28they+were+feeding+about+1200%2e%2e%2e+a+tall+order%29%2e+Our+troop+likes+to+rotate+between+different+camps%2e+This+one+will+definitely+be+in+the+rotation%2e+%0d%0a

The+best+Scout+Camp+I+have+ever+been+to%2e++I+enjoyed+earning+the+Hiking+Badge+while+my+boys+were+in+their+classes%2e++We+have+already+scheduled+2012+with+them+after+Philmont%2e++Food+is+great+and+the+staff+is+very+kind%2e++Check+out+my+Woodruff+Video+on+Youtube%2c+user+name%3a+nedyahr%0d%0a
