Oak Openings has a lot to offer the family and also the single walker. There is a pond for fishing, bike trails, horse trails, and plenty of walking trails. There are parks with play equipment for the younger children and shelter houses for meetings and gatherings. The scenery is beautiful. Since this is a Preserve and a Toledo Metropark you must leave it as you saw it. I believe you must be affiliated with a scout troop and notify the correct authorities in order to camp. This is a good place for a day trip, if you are in the area.
