With+340+acres+of+rolling+woodlands+and+trails+in+Lapeer+County%2c+Camp+Holaka+offers+many+camping+choices%2e+It+also+has+many+cabins+and+a+couple+lodges+for+indoor+camping+and+many+campsites+for+tent+camping%2e+During+the+summer%2c+Camp+Holaka+is+used+primarily+for+Cub+Scout+camping+with+different+day+camps+and+weekend+events%2e%0d%0a
My+cub+scout+loved+day+camp+for+the+first+time+due+to+a+few+corrections+by+the+day+camp+administrators%2dthe+ladies+were+totally+awesome%2e+They+made+sure+he+had+a+cotton+t%2dshirt%28allergy+to+polyester%29+and+after+three+weeks+at+home+he+is+still+wearing+it%21+The+grounds+were+clean+and+rugged+and+the+all+around+staff%2c+though+each+had+a+few+years+on+them%2c+could+not+have+done+a+better+job%2e+Thank+you+for+supporting+these+leaders%2e%0d%0a
At+the+time+of+this+comment%2c+Camp+Holaka+was+still+open+and+listed+as+a+weekend+camp+property+of+the+Michigan+Crossroads+Council+website+but+it+was+slated+to+be+closed+as+it+is+very+close+to+some+other+camps+that+are+to+remain+open%2e++There+is+a+news+article+from+the+County+Press+about+the+pending+closure+of+the+camp%3a%0d%0a%0d%0ahttp%3a%2f%2fthecountypress%2emihomepaper%2ecom%2fnews%2f2013%2d07%2d10%2fFront_Page%2fCamp_Holaka_to_close%2ehtml%0d%0a
