In+1964+Phillippo+Scout+Reservation+was+farm+land+and+barns%2e+During+the+years%2c+Phillippo+Scout+Reservation+has+been+transformed+into+one+of+the+premier+camping+and+training+facilities+in+the+area%2e+On+July+15%2c+2000+it+was+renamed+in+honor+of+Ron+Phillippo%2c+the+former+CEO+of+Indianhead+Council%2fBSA%2e+Phillippo+is+Indianhead+Council%27s+flagship+Cub+Scout+summer+camp%2e+Over+5%2c500+Cub+Scouts+attend+weekend+resident+Camp+Akela+and+the+new+Webelos+Adventure+Days%2e+In+addition%2c+thousands+of+Scouts+utilize+this+great+camp+for+weekend+campouts%2e+The+reservation+is+located+on+the+south+shore+of+the+Byllesby+Reservoir%2c+three+miles+west+of+PSR%2e+The+reservation+is+four+hundred+and+fifty+acres+of+rolling+fields%2c+wooded+campsites+and+hills+overlooking+the+Cannon+River+valley%2e+%0d%0a

Troop+114+and+Crew+99+stayed+at+Camp+Phillipo+twice+in+July+2006+%2d+on+the+way+to+and+from+BWCA%2e+The+folks+were+very+nice%2c+the+facilities+were+just+as+nice%2e+We+used+the+pool+on+the+way+up+%2d+a+very+nice+facility+with+good+changing+rooms+and+a+well+maintained+pool%2e+The+wall+tents+were+on+permanent+wood+pads%2c+three+to+a+cluster%2e+The+showers+at+the+campsite+were+good+%2d+but+there+were+only+4+showers+among+30+of+us%2c+creating+a+pretty+long+wait%2dtime%2e+Our+shooting%2dsports+staffers+from+our+council%27s+summer+camp+were+impressed+with+their+facilities%2c+although+I+did+not+get+to+see+them%2e+HQ+was+in+a+very+nice+building%2e+Altogether+a+nice+camp+with+staffers+who+were+very+helpful%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a
