Come+join+Explorers+from+all+over+the+Midwest+at+the+John+S%2e+Swift+Explorer+Base%2c+the+premier+high+adventure+program+in+the+country+and+the+only+Explorer+base+in+the+region%2e+The+Swift+program+is+designed+especially+for+Explorers+and+includes+radical+outdoor+challenges+and+terrific+social+activities+in+a+relaxed%2c+resort+atmosphere%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aThe+John+S%2e+Swift+Explorer+Base+is+a+very+unique+camp+which+is+run+by+the+Greater+St%2e+Louis+Area+Council%2c+Boy+Scouts+of+America%2e+The+Explorer+base+is+one+of+only+two+Explorer+Base+Summer+Camps+in+the+Nation+and+the+only+one+in+the+Region%2e+Swift+is+located+about+90+miles+South+of+St%2e+Louis+near+Farmington%2c+Missouri+on+the+property+of+the+S%2dF+%28S+%2d+bar+%2d+F%29+Scout+Ranch%2e+The+S%2dF+Scout+Ranch+is+a+5%2c200+acre+property+which+is+the+home+of+4+separate+summer+camps%2e+There+are+three+Boy+Scout+camps+located+on+one+side+of+a+270+acre+man+made+lake%2e+On+the+other+side+of+the+Nim%27s+Lake+is+the+John+S%2e+Swift+Explorer+Base%2e+%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0aThe+John+S%2e+Swift+Explorer+Base+operates+for+about+7+weeks+from+June+to+August+every+summer%2e+The+camp+has+many+activites+for+campers+to+enjoy+when+coming+to+camp%2e+Some+of+the+daytime+activities+include%3a+Rock+Climbing%2c+Rappelling%2c+High+and+Low+Ropes+Courses%2c+Waterskiing%2c+Sailing%2c+Canoeing%2c+Rowing%2c+Swimming%2c+and+Horseback+Riding%2e+Day+activities+are+not+the+only+fun+part+about+camp%2c+evenings+are+fun+too%21+Some+of+the+activities+that+we+have+done+in+the+past+are+to+have+dances+in+our+lodge%2c+beach+parties+on+the+beach%2c+wacky+olympics%2c+western+themed+nights%2c+and+night+hikes%2e+These+are+only+a+small+sampling+that+have+been+done+in+the+past+with+new+and+exciting+ideas+coming+for+this+summer%21%0d%0a%0d%0aSome+of+the+people+that+make+your+week+happen+is+the+incredible+staff%2e+The+camp+is+usually+run+by+12+to+13+energetic+young+men+and+women%2c+who+without+them+Swift+would+just+be+woods%21+These+people+do+what+ever+it+takes+to+make+sure+that+your+week+is+the+best+that+it+can+be%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0a
