The+Dow+Drukker+Scout+Reservation+is+made+up+of+two+camps+in+the+low+part+of+the+Catskills+of+New+York+State%2e+The+reservation+is+over+795+acres+with+a+90%2dacre+Lake%2e+Just+out+side+the+towns+of+Port+Jervis+and+Middletown%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aCamp+Turrell%0d%0aCamp+Turrell+is+a+Boy+Scout+Summer+camp+run+by+the+Northern+New+Jersey+Council+of+the+Boy+Scouts+of+America%2e+Camp+Turrell+also+can+be+used+for+off%2dseason+camping+in+the+non%2dsummer+months%2e+You+can+stay+in+tents%2c+Peterson+Lean%2dtos+or+the+Peterson+Lodge%2e+At+this+time+Camp+Turrell+has+seasonal+well+water+from+May+to+end+of+October%2e+Year+round+water+can+be+found+at+Camp+Kluge+Canoes%2c+Row+Boats%2c+and+the+Picnic+Pavilion+also+can+be+rented%2e+%0d%0a%0d%0aCamp+Kluge+is+an+off+season+camp+only%2e+The+camp+has+some+tent+area%2c+lean%2dtos+and+the+Kluge+lodge%2e+The+lean%2dtos+sleep+4+and+there+are+3+available%2e+The+Kluge+Lodge+has+a+wood+stove%3b+fireplace%2c+lights%2c+and+sleeps+24%2e+The+yellow+hiking+trail+will+take+you+to+the+lake%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aLast+is+the+family+camping+is+available+at+the+A+frames+they+have+lights%2c+cook+top%2c+3+bed+rooms%2c+bathroom+but+at+this+time+they+also+only+have+seasonal+well+water+from+May+to+end+of+October%2e+They+sleep+6%2e+They+also+have+no+heat%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aThe+Campmaster+cabin+is+attached+to+the+Kluge+lodge%2e+Check+in+is+at+from+6%3a30pm+to+10pm+Friday+and+8am+to+6pm+Saturday%2e+The+camp+closes+at+1%3a30pm+on+Sunday%0d%0a%0d%0a

Troop+65+%2d+Cedar+Grove+has+summer+camped+at+Turrell+since+2002%2e+Great+program+and+staff%2e+The+camp+is+a+former+bluestone+quarry%2e+Turrell+is+also+a+great+place+to+weekend+camp%2e+Some+troops+have+adopted+sites+or+areas+of+camp+and+have+made+improvements+to+the+facilities%2e+%0d%0a%0d%0aTurrell+offers+the+usual+summer+camp+program+in+aquatics%2c+shooting+sports%2c+outdoor+skills%2c+nature%2c+and+handicrafts%2c+but+also+includes+field+sports+as+well+as+climbing+and+mountain+biking+and+astronomy%2e+The+Pathfinder+program+is+offered+for+new+scouts+and+teaches+or+does+many+of+the+requirements+for+Tenderfoot%2c+Second+and+First+Class+ranks%2e+%0d%0a%0d%0aThe+lake%2c+a+90%2dacre+pond+actually%2c+is+crystal+clear+and+is+fed+only+be+rain+and+runoff%2e+Several+trails+for+hiking%2c+and+natural+rock+walls+for+climbing+or+rapelling%2c+including+a+70%2dfoot+wall+opened+in+2006%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aIt+truely+is+the+%22Rising+Star+of+the+Northern+NJ+Council%22%2e++++%0d%0a

Just+returned+from+Camp+Turrell+for+summer+camp+this+year+%28July+2013%29%2e++They+have+one+of+the+best+first+year+scout+programs+I+have+ever+seen+called+Pathfinders%2e++They+have+a+wonderful+waterfront+and+lots+of+areas+to+fish+from+the+banks%2e++The+food+was+very+good+too+which+made+the+adults+happy%2e++We+drove+about+3+1%2f2+hours+to+get+there+and+would+definitely+do+it+again%2e+%0d%0a
