Camp+Gorton+is+located+outside+of+Dundee+New+York+on+beautiful+Waneta+Lake%2e+During+the+summer%2c+Camp+Gorton+offers+both+Cub+Scout+Resident+camp+and+Boy+Scout+Resident+camp+programs%2e+During+the+off+season%2c+Camp+Gorton+is+open+for+weekend+rentals%2e+%0d%0a%0d%0a
I+am+the+Scoutmaster+to+Boy+Scout+Troop+%23410%2e++We+attended+Summer+Camp+Gorton+2007+as+an+out+of+council+unit%2e++Every+member+of+our+Troop+had+an+amazing+time%2e++The+program+was+very+well+organized+and+the+camp+facilities+were+amazing%2e++Our+Scouts+particularly+enjoyed+the+huge+waterfront%2c+with+access+to+waterskiing%2c+sailing%2c+canoeing%2c+kayaking+and+motorboating%2e++Unlike+most+camps%2c+they+didn%27t+even+charge+our+Scouts+money+for+gas+when+taking+a+merit+badge+that+involved+a+motor+boat%21++They+also+opened+up+water%2dskiing+to+everyone+at+camp+every+day%2c+and+made+sure+that+every+person+interested+had+ample+opportunity+to+participate%2e++They+had+enjoyable+camp%2dwide+activities%2c+including+a+huge+water+carnival+based+on+the+weeks+theme+%28of+pirates%29%2e++The+dining+hall+was+amazing+and+the+food+was+well+prepared+and+diverse%2e++The+staff+were+knowledgable+in+their+areas+and+made+learning+enjoyable+for+all+of+our+Scouts%2e++They+had+a+great+first+year+camper+program+%28FYRE%29+that+also+allowed+these+Scouts+to+work+on+up+to+two+merit+badges%2e++The+program+director+and+camp+director+were+always+available+and+regularly+seen+throughout+the+day%2e++Although+we+mix+up+our+camping+experiences+every+year%2c+and+will+not+be+returning+to+Camp+Gorton+next+year%2c+the+boys+already+are+talking+about+putting+Summer+Camp+Gorton+back+on+the+calendar+in+the+future%2e++%0d%0a
