Attended+with+Pack+173%2c%0d%0a7%2f12%2d7%2f15%0d%0aThis+was+their+2nd+session%2c+and+the+lowest+attendance+session%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aOur+Pack+has+attended+there+for+I+think+5+%2b+years%2c+my+first+year+in%0d%0aattendance%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aPre+Camp+Information+and+Ease+of+Arranging+the+Trip+C%0d%0a%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%0d%0a%0d%0aAnother+DL+and+the+SM+handled+most+of+this%2c+but+it+was+a+little+bit+spotty%0d%0a%2d+Some+of+the+information+was+really+late+to+come+out+%2d+a+lot+of+this+was%0d%0abecause+of+moving+to+the+new+Advancement+System+for+Webelos%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0aMerit+Badge+%26+Activity+Registration+System+B%0d%0a%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%0d%0aRegistration+was+a+bit+confusing%2c+because+they+all+had+cutesy+names+related%0d%0ato+the+space+theme%2e+%28Archery+was+%22John+Glenn%27s+Arm%22%3f+BMX+was+%22Moon+Rover%0d%0aTesting%22%29%0d%0a%0d%0aDirector+said+that+was+a+point+of+confusion+among+staff%2c+and+would+be+fixed%0d%0anext+session%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0aCheck+in%2fout+Process+%2d+Arrival+%26+Departure%0d%0a%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%0d%0aCheckin+was+a+lot+slower+than+other+Boy+Scout+Camps+%2d+Only+one+Medical%0d%0aOfficer+to+review+all+the+forms%2c+took+a+lot+of+time%2e+Also%2c+there+were+a+lot%0d%0aof+cases+where+DLs+had+to+contact+parents+to+get+medical+info+that+was%0d%0amissing+on+the+forms%2e+Part+of+that+was+inexperience+by+the+DL+who+took+the%0d%0aforms%2c+but+it+would+have+been+great+if+they+were+reviewed+before+camp%2c+and%0d%0anot+while+dozens+of+cubs+were+waiting+in+line%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aAlso%2c+Checkout%2c+the+additional+cleaning+tasks+%2d+some+were+ones+that%0d%0aCubs%2fWebelos+could+not+do%2c+or+not+do+well+in+any+reasonable+amount+of%0d%0atime%2e++For+our+Webelos+Group%2c+it+ended+up+with+3+Den+Leaders+cleaning%0d%0aLatrines+and+Showers%2c+1+DL+running+herd+on+the+12+Campers%2c+and+6+staff%0d%0amembers+standing+around+waiting+for+us+to+get+done+cleaning+so+they+could%0d%0ainspect+it%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aCleaning+up+the+campsite+made+sense+for+the+boys%2c+but+some+of+the+other%0d%0acleaning+tasks+felt+like+they+were+just+dumping+it+on+the+DLs+%2d+when+we%0d%0awere+tired+and+trying+to+get+out+of+there+ASAP%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0aCamp+Administration+B%0d%0a%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0aCamp+Commissioner+Program++D%0d%0a%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%0d%0a%0d%0aWe+barely+saw+our+commissioners+%2d+Each+pack+was+supposed+to+have+a%0d%0acommissioner+who+saw+us+in+the+morning+and+evening+to+pass+on%0d%0aannouncements%2c+eat+with+us+at+meals%2c+and+check+in+periodically+during+the%0d%0aday%2e+We+saw+them+once+in+the+morning%2c+and+once+in+the+evening+%2d+that%27s+it%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0aCamp+Staff+B%0d%0a%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%0d%0aMost+were+very+good%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0aCampsite+C%0d%0a%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%0d%0aWe+were+in+Adirondack+A+%28Which+has+6+tents+also%29%0d%0a%0d%0aSpiders%2e+Spiders+everywhere%2e+Spiders+the+size+of+my+fist+everywhere+in%0d%0atents%2c+and+more+than+a+few+in+the+Adirondack+also%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aThis+is+not+necessarily+fatal%2c+but+is+not+a+great+thing+to+face+when%0d%0adealing+with+boys+who+are+attending+a+Resident+Camp+without+their+Parents%0d%0afor+the+first+time%2e+Lots+and+lots+of+scared+kids+who+had+to+be+talked+down%0d%0aoff+the+ledge%2e+Next+time+we+will+definitely+take+the+option+of+setting+up%0d%0aour+own+tents+in+a+different+campsite%2c+even+if+it%27s+further+to+walk%2e+I%27m%0d%0aconvinced+that+Zippers+stop+homesickness%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0aTents+and+Platforms+in+Campsite+D%0d%0a%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%0d%0aOld+canvas+tents%2c+looks+like+the+hand%2dme%2ddowns+from+their+Boy+Scout+Camp%2c%0d%0apossibly+older+than+most+of+the+staffers%2c+with+the+mildew+to+prove+it%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0aFire+Ants+A%0d%0a%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%0d%0aNone%0d%0a%0d%0aTicks+%26+Mosquitoes+B%0d%0a%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%0d%0aDid+see+a+few+ticks%2c+did+not+have+to+remove+any+because+they+were+spotted%0d%0abefore+they+latched+on%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0aLatrine+%26+Shower+Facilities+A%2b%0d%0a%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%0d%0aVery+nice+Bathhouse+near+us+and+the+dining+hall%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0aMerit+Badge+Program%0d%0a%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%0d%0aBecause+it+was+a+Webelos+Camp%2c+they+did+not+have+Merit+Badges%2c+but+they+did%0d%0ahave+an+equivalent+%2d+sessions+for+Webelos+Adventures%2e+Each+Den+could+select%0d%0awhat+adventures+it+wanted+to+do%2c+and+what+activities+it+wanted+to+do%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aThis+is+the+first+time+I+have+ever+seen+a+Cub+or+Webelos+event+where+this%0d%0awas+possible+%2d+most+of+the+time+it+is+a+rotation+of+activities+and+you+get%0d%0awhat+every+other+pack+gets%2c+just+in+a+different+order%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aDoing+this+gave+us+the+ability+to+pick+out+the+elective+adventures+our+boys%0d%0awanted+to+do%2c+and+avoid+the+core+adventures+ones+that+we+would+have+to%0d%0arepeat+during+the+school+year+anyway+for+the+den+members+who+did+not+attend%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aThis+is+a+HUGE+step+above+what+most+cubs%2fwebelos+get+in+terms+of+options%2e%0d%0aIt+wasn%27t+a+perfect+process%2c+but+the+fact+they+are+stepping+up+in%0d%0acomparison+to+the+past+and+to+other+camps+is+worth+an+A%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aAlso%2c+not+for+badges%2c+but+they+also+had+a+great+number+of+other+activities%0d%0a%2d+climbing+%2f+zipline%2c+BMX%2c+Canoes%2c+Free+Swim%2c+Archery%2c+Air+Rifle+and+the%0d%0afavorite+unscheduled+activity+%2d+Ga+Ga+Ball%21+%28Google+it%2c+the+kids+LOVED+it%2e%29%0d%0a%0d%0aOnly+big+change+I+would+make+is+to+offer+fewer+sessions+%2d+boys+were%0d%0aoverscheduled%2c+and+had+no+downtime+back+at+the+campsite+to+relax%2c+build+a%0d%0afire%2c+or+even+straighten+up+their+tent%2e+Day+2%2c+we+literally+didn%27t+see+the%0d%0acampsite+between+7%3a00AM+until+after+bedtime%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0aDining+Hall+%26+Food+B%2b%0d%0a%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%0d%0aVery+good+%2d+a+few+mixups%2c+like+the+one+night+they+realized+the+chicken+was%0d%0aexpired+and+had+to+go+to+a+Plan+B%2c+but+generally+the+food+was+what+kids%0d%0awanted%2c+and+they+had+a+good+salad+bar%0d%0a%0d%0aOverall+Infrastructure+A%0d%0a%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%0d%0aVery+well+maintained+and+new%0d%0a%0d%0aAdult+Training%0d%0a%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%0d%0aN%2fA+%2d+None+available%2c+all+adults+attending+were+leading+Dens%0d%0a%0d%0aChapel+Program%0d%0a%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%0d%0aC+%2d+very+short%2c+just+after+breakfast+in+the+dining+hall+%2d+felt+like+they%0d%0awere+doing+it+just+to+check+the+box+saying+%22We+had+a+chapel+program%22%0d%0a%0d%0aShould+have+probably+been+done+on+Sunday+instead+of+Wednesday%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0aOpening+%26+Closing+Campfires+C%0d%0a%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%0d%0aGood+and+enthusiastic%2c+but+the+closing+one+went+on+for+at+least+30+minutes%0d%0atoo+long%2c+and+also+started+too+late%2e+Boy+Scouts+and+Venturers+are+pretty%0d%0agood+staying+up+late+%2d+Webelos+get+tired+a+lot+earlier+in+the+night%2c%0d%0aespecially+with+a+day+long+program+with+no+downtime%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aOrder+of+the+Arrow+Activities+B%0d%0a%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%0d%0aThere+was+an+OA+Dance+and+drummers%2c+but+for+the+most+part+the+Webelos+have%0d%0ano+idea+what+OA+is%2c+or+why+these+guys+were+up+there%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0aTrading+Post++B%0d%0a%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%0d%0aSmall%2c+but+cheap+choices+for+the+boys+%2d+I%27m+glad+they+weren%27t+trying+to%0d%0amake+300%25+profit+on+stuff+like+slushies+and+ice+cream+sandwiches+%2d+a+boy%0d%0acould+walk+in+with+%241+and+get+something+cold+and+sweet%2e%0d%0a
