Woodfield+Scout+Preservation+was+given+to+the+Uwharrie+Council+by+Elliot+S%2e+Wood+and+his+wife+Mary+Webb+Wood+in+1989%2e+Three+years+later+the+Uwharrie+Council+merged+with+General+Greene+Council+and+Woodfield+became+part+of+ONSC%2e+%0d%0a

Cub+Scout+adventure+camp%2e%2e%2ehiking+and+camping%2c+canoeing%2c+swiming%2c+archery%2c+rifle+range%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aMost+facilities+new%2c+Hot+water+in+lighted+bathroom+facilities+near+each+camp+site%2e++Has+summer+webelos+4%2dday+camping+program+and+a+day+camp+for+younger+cubs%2e+%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0a

Woodfield+is+divided+into+an+east+and+west+side%2e+Both+sections+offer+short%2dterm+weekend+camping+year%2dround%2e+The+east+side+of+Woodfield+has+ten+campsites+with+access+to+running+water%2c+male+and+female+flushing+toilets%2c+and+program+areas%2e+Some+of+these+sites+provide+permanent+wall+tents+year%2d+round%2e+An+Amphitheater+and+Chapel%2c+as+well+as+BB+and+Archery+ranges+are+also+located+at+Woodfield+East%2e+For+Boy+Scouts%2c+there+is+boating+offered+on+the+upper+lake%2c+and+two+sections+of+east+Woodfield+are+reserved+for+Boy+Scout+camping%2e+One+section+has+been+set+aside+for+low+impact+camping%2c+and+the+other+section+has+access+to+running+water+and+fire+rings+for+weekend+camping%2e+%0d%0a%0d%0aThe+west+side+of+Woodfield+offers+Boy+Scout+weekend+camping+on+eight+established+campsites+with+fire+rings%2e+These+sites+also+provide+access+to+latrines%2c+showers%2c+and+a+program+shelter%2e+Low+impact+camping+is+also+available+on+Mary%27s+Mountain%2c+however%2c+fires+are+prohibited+in+this+area%2e%0d%0a
