Camp+Acahela+is+located+on+the+banks+of+the+Lehigh+River%2c+east+of+Wiles+Barre%2c+Pennsylvania%2c+in+the+Pocono+mountains%2e++It+is+an+excellent+year%2dround+camping+facility%2c+with+many+heated+cabins+in+addition+to+the+campsites+and+camporee+field%2e++Cub+Scout+resident+camp+is+held+here+during+the+summer%2e%0d%0a
As+far+as+I+have+been+led+to+believe%2c+Camp+Acahela+is+the+3rd+oldest+camp+in+the+country%2c+but+that+may+call+for+some+speculation%2c+as+diferent+factors+may+arise+when+determining+the+age+of+a+camp%2e+Otherwise%2c+Camp+Acahela+is+a+beautiful+camp+located+in+Blakeslee%2c+Pa%2e+Cub+Scout+Camp+is+held+in+the+summer+for+5+weeks%2c+there+is+all+year+camping+going+on%2e+2+ski+resorts+are+located+nearby+and+many+other+wonderful+attractions%2e%0d%0a
The+%22Large+Pine%22+camp+site+may+actually+be+among+the+most+beautiful+site+I+have+ever+stayed+in+in+almost+40+years+of+scouting%21++Directly+along+the+Lehigh+River%2c+in+a+pine+needle+bedded+area%2c+near+a+meadow%2c+across+from+mountains%2c+it+is+wonderful%2e++The+ranger+%2d+Tim+%2d+is+also+very+nice+and+helpful%2e++Very+close+also+to+Steamtown+in+Scranton+if+working+on+the+Railroading+Merit+Badge%2e%0d%0a
