Camp+Mountain+Run%2c+owned+and+operated+by+the+Bucktail+Council%2c+is+located+in+Clearfield+County+about+15+miles+outside+of+DuBois%2c+PA%2e+The+camp+offers+a+wide+range+of+activities+which+can+be+enjoyed+year+round%2e+%0d%0a

This+camp+can+house+up+to+276+scouts+per+weekend+throughout+winter%2c+in+modern+and+rustic+cabins%2e+The+camp+is+closed+the+month+of+December+because+the+camp+is+surrounded+by+prime+hunting+grounds+for+Deer+and+Bear+so+we+close+it+for+the+safety+of+the+scouts%2e%0d%0a

We+were+there+in+2006+Great+well+kept+camp%2cgreat+swimming+pool%2eMerit+badge+program+weak%2eScouts+were+let+out+15+minutes+after+class+started+and+%22homework+given%22+to+hand+in+next+day%2eHopefully+this+improved+with+more+expertienced+counselors++%0d%0a

I+was+a+camper+at+this+camp+in+the+60%27s+%26+on+staff+for+5+years+in+the+late+60%27s+%26+early+70%27s%2e++It+was+one+of+the+greatest+experiences+in+my+life+%21%21++Great+place+%21%21%21%0d%0a

Our+troop+stayed+there+the+past+three+years%2e+We+are+looking+for+another+site+this+year%2e+Positives%3a+The+buildings+are+well+kept+and+clean%2e+The+pool+is+large+and+clean%2e+The+shower+areas+are+walled%2f+open+roof+layout+with+under%2f+over+18+sections%2e+Water+pressure+is+good+and+drinkable%2e+The+activities+are+well+planned+if+not+standard+fare%2e+The+best+activity+is+the+COPE+course+taught+by+%27Sensei%27%2c+if+he%27s+still+there+%282010%29%2e+He+can+coax+anyone+up+into+the+trees+without+making+them+feel+belittled%2e+No%2done+taunts+a+fellow+COPE+mate%2e+The+camp+is+well+sized+and+offers+interaction+between+troops%2e+%0d%0a2008%2c+the+food+was+acceptible%2e+2009+was+lacking%2e+2010+saw+a+notible+decline+in+the+food%2e+It+obviously+came+from+a+local+school%2e+Breakfast+pizza+is+not+breakfast+food+in+my+book%2e+Screaming+at+the+dining+hall+because+someone+parked+a+vehicle+outside+was+not+acceptible%2e+The+person+was+handicapped+and+has+no+leg%2e+Based+on+my+experience+I+would+rate+this+location+as+neutral%2e+It+has+highs+and+lows%2e+Beware+the+kitchen+soup+Nazi%2e+Shes+a+sweet+person+if+you+get+to+know+her%2e+Most+people+dont+know+her%2e+%0d%0a

Have+had+good+and+bad+experiences+at+this+camp+and+are+looking+for+a+new+one+to+try%2e+Positives+are+the+staff+and+CITs+%2d+they+really+work+hard+to+keep+the+boys+active+and+interested%2e+Facilities+are+well+kept+and+it%27s+a+beautiful+piece+of+forest%2e+Downsides+are+a+lack+of+space+%28especially+when+district+overbooks%29+and+the+food+isn%27t+the+best%2e+We+had+a+%22cook+in+camp%22+night+and+were+disappointed+with+the+quality+or+lack+thereof+in+the+food+we+were+supplied%2e+Hamburger+meat+is+workable%2c+rancid+hamburger+meat+is+not%2e%0d%0a
