First+opened+in+1946%2c+the+Horace+A%2e+Moses+Scout+Reservation+is+1600+acres+located+on+Russell+Pond+%2880+acres%29%2c+Birch+Hill+Rd%2c+Russell%2c+MA%2e+Junior+Leader+Training+or+%22Powder+Keg%22+is+offered+during+the+last+week+in+June%2e+The+regular+summer+camp+season+begins+the+first+full+week+of+July+after+the+4th+and+runs+for+4+weeks%2e+A+fifth+week+offers+Base+Camp+Eagle%2c+Base+Camp+Adventure+%28Venturing+program%29%2c+and+Cub+Scout+Resident+Camp%2e+The+weekly+camp+fee+for+2006+is+%24255%2e+The+camp+is+open+year%2dround+for+unit+and+district+activities%2e+Tenting%2c+Adirondack+Shelters%2c+Cabins%2c+and+Lodges+are+available+from+September+thru+May%2e%0d%0a

Moses+is+absolutely+the+most+beautiful+camp+I+have+ever+been+to+%28and+I%27ve+been+to+a+lot%29%2e++The+summer+camp+staff+are+from+the+council+and+most+are+involved+with+other+%28non%2dcamp%29+functions%2e++The+lake+is+huge+and+VERY+clear%21++The+old+graveyard+%281600%2d1700%27s%29+and+old+buildings+and+foundations+are+very+cool+to+see%2e++General+Knox+dragged+99+cannons+to+Bunker+Hill+right+down+the+center+road+in+the+camp%2c+the+place+has+a+%22Revolutionary+War%22+theme%2e%0d%0a

Just+returned+from+a+week+at+Moses+and+I+must+say+I+am+very+impressed+with+the+staff%2c+food+service+and+facilities%2e+The+camp+is+hilly%2c+but+that%27s+to+be+expected+in+Western+Massachusetts%2c+and+a+Scout+is+%22physically+strong%22%2e++There+is+a+Council+merger+going+on+so+lets+hope+the+new+council+keeps+Moses+and+the+fine+staff+they+have%2e++My+only+complaints+%7e+let%27s+add+some+veggies+to+the+meals%2c+or+maybe+a+salad+bar+for+those+of+us+who+look+for+something+green+in+our+diets%2e++Also%2c+a+little+more+info+in+the+leaders+manual+would+help%2e%0d%0a
