The+Alapaha+Area+Council%27s+main+camping+location+is+Camp+Patten%2e+Patten+is+located+approximately+two+miles+southeast+of+Lakeland%2c+Georgia%2c+alongside+the+Alapaha+River%2e++This+180%2b+acre+campground+also+hosts+the+annual+Flatlander%27s+Frolics%2c+held+every+Labor+Day+weekend%2e+Alapaha+Area+Council+does+not+operate+the+camp+as+a+long+term+organized+summer+camp%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a
I+took+my+Girl+Scouts+to+camp+Patton+in+June%2c+2006%2e+The+facility+was+wonderful%2e+We+took+the+girls+out+gator+%22hunting%22+at+the+pond+at+night%2e+We+also+went+to+Wild+Adventures+in+Valdosta+just+down+the+road%2e+The+bath+house+was+fairly+new+and+in+good+condition%2e+I+highly+recommend+this+camp%2e%0d%0a
Camp+Patten+%28with+an+%22e%22%29+is+a+very+fun+%28but+small%29+camp%2e+It+has+a+lake%2c+and+a+small+pavilion%2e+There+are+no+already+set%2dup+tents+%28like+some+Summer+Camp+camps%29%2e+It+hosts+multiple+Cub+Scout+%26+Boy+Scout+activies+throughout+the+year%2e%0d%0a
