Wow%2c+what+a+great+camp+for+2001%21++There+was+a+fantastic+very+engaged+staff+with+a+lot+of+new+programs+we+did+not+expect+to+find%2e++WBSA+Camp+Radio%2c+God+Squad%2c+Adult+Leader+Training+with+more+than+20+different+courses+during+the+week%2c+and+a+First+Year+Camper+Program+that+was+the+best+we+had+ever+seen%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aThe+Dining+Hall+food+was+the+only+weak+area+of+our+entire+camp+experience%2e++I+would+recommend+this+camp+to+anyone%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a

Our+troop+just+finished+camp+at+mack+morris+and+it+was+a+great+the+food+was+great+along+with+the+energetic+staff+and+excellent+programming+makes+this+an+outstanding+camp%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a

We+attended+this+camp+in+June+2002%2e++The+camp+is+going+through+a+staff+shakeup+and+it+shows+in+the+program%2e++The+average+staff+merit+badge+counselor+is+14+or+15+and+might+be+Star+Scout%2e++That%27s+not+very+good%2e++The+Camp+Manual+on+the+internet+is+very+outdated%2e++They+do+not+follow+the+manual+any+longer%2e++Beware+and+ask+questions+before+going+to+this+camp%2e%0d%0a

My+troop+went+to+their+summer+camp+program+back+in+99%2e+it+was+my+third+summer+camp+as+a+scout%2e+The+program%2c+the+staff%2c+and+the+experiences+are+just+messmerizing%2e+They+even+have+a+no+age+limit+cope+course%21%21+Rarely+do+you+get+a+camp+that+allows+11+yr+olds+to+do+COPE%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aI+highly+advise+everyone+to+experience+this+camp+at+least+once+in+their+scouting+careers%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aDan+Gunther%0d%0aEagle+Scout%0d%0aTroop+1589%0d%0a1589gunther%40comcast%2enet%0d%0a

i+have+been+to+Mack+Morris+five+times%2e+it+has+generally+been+a+very+good+experience+but+they+lost+their+usual+director+so+things+did+not+run+as+smoothly+this+year%2e+they+have+a+nice+dining+hall+with+good+food%2e+some+of+their+programs+and+merit+badge+courses+are+great+and+they+offer+troop+archery%2c+shotgun%2c+rifle%2c+tubing%2c+waterskiing%2c+rapelling%2c+and+a+canoe+trip+on+the+buffalo%2e+some+of+the+merit+badge+counselors+do+not+know+anything+about+what+they+are+teaching%2c+though%2e+they+need+new+patches%2e+3%2e75%2f5%0d%0a%0d%0a

Our+troop+just+attended+this+summer+camp%2e++It+had+archery%2c+riflery%2c+COPES%2c+1st+year+camper%2c+swimming%2c+canoeing%2c+rowing%2c+motor+boating%2c+small+boat+sailing%2c+personal+fitness%2c+reptiles+%26+amphibians%2c+envioronmental+science%2c+fishing%2c+astronomy%2c+basketry%2c+indian+foke+lore%2c+and+more%2e++Addressing+some+comments+above%2c+the+COPES+course+does+follow+the+formal+guidelines+with+age+limits+of+13+for+low+ropes+and+14+for+high+ropes+and+a+minimum+weight+of+60+lbs+for+repeling%2e++There+were+some+young+merit+badge+counsellors+that+were+less+enthusiastic+about+the+subject+they+were+teaching%3b+but+overall%2c+the+staff+was+very+good%2e++They+also+engaged+the+troop+leaders+by+offering+4+training+events%2c+a+1%2dmile+swim%2c+a+triathlon%2c+a+scoutmasters%27+rifle+competition%2c+a+horseshoes+competition%2c+a+canonball+contest%2c+and+the+opportunity+to+earn+a+scoutmaster%27s+merit+badge%2e++The+food+was+plentiful%2c+there+were+two+church+services%2c+and+an+OA+night+celebration%2e++Oh%2c+and+I+forgot+the+death+march%21++Virtually+every+minute+of+the+week+was+scheduled%2e++It+was+a+great+experience%21%0d%0a%0d%0aTroop+638%0d%0aVicksburg%2c+MS%0d%0a

My+kids+have+gone+to+camp+here+since+2003+and+we+wouldn%27t+dream+of+going+anyplace+else%21++Yes+the+merit+badges+are+taught+by+kids+but+guess+what+they+are+suppose+to+be%2e++This+is+a+fun+camp+that+keeps+everyone+involved+and+boys+go+to+bed+tired%21%21%21%0d%0a
