Whatever+happened+to+Ranger+Nick%3f++I+used+to+really+enjoy+talking+to+him%2e++He+was+well+versed+in+scout+skills%2c+outdoor+living+and+life%2c+in+general%2e++Besides+that+he+was+%22a+fun%2dguy%22%2e++I+don%27t+think+there+is+another+Ranger+in+the+history+of+Camp+Hohobas+who+made+it+fun+to+go+to+camp+for+the+summer%2e%0d%0a

This+Camp+offers+the+best+program+in+Washington+State%2e++The+facilities+are+top+notch%2e++The+open+program+they+offer+is+a+great+asset+to+boys%2e++I+think+that+in+the+next+few+years+Camp+Hahobas+will+be+a+well+known+name+in+the+Western+Region+of+the+Boy+Scouts+of+America%2e%0d%0a

Camp+Hahobas+is+one+of+the+best+summer+camp+I+have+ever+been+to%2e++The+boys+really+enjoyed+there+stay%2c+and+became+really+aquainted+with+the+staff%2e+It+was+a+great+experience+having+females+on+staff%2c+and+I+hope+that+the+camp+continues+this%2e++They+brought+higher+camp+spirit%2c+and+I+haven%27t+seen+the+boys+earn+so+many+merit+badges+at+one+time+in+my+life%21+Also%2c+the+view+is+gorgeous+and+you+can%27t+beat+the+newly+improved+cope+course%21+Camp+Hahobas+was+great+and+we+intend+to+participate+at+next+years+summer+camp%2e%0d%0a

The+food+is+the+best+I+have+ever+had+and+the+open+program+is+great%2e%0d%0a

hahobas+is+the+greatest+camp+in+the+whole+world+ever%2e+the+program+directors+are+the+best+in+the+universe+john+and+chris+rock+especially+that+chris+guy%2c+he+kicks+butt%2e+%0d%0a%0d%0a

hahobas%2eorg+is+the+new+virtual+home+for+Camp+Hahobas+of+the+Pacific+Harbors+Council%2e++The+site+is+owned+and+operated+by+the+Boy+Scout+Camping+Committee%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a

This+camp+is+horrible%2e+The+water+front+staff+is+not+trained+to+do+their+jobs+responsibly%2e+A+lot+of+thought+need+to+go+into+their+food%2e+This+camp+needs+help%2e%0d%0a

A+lot+of+activities+offered%2e++The+food+is+pretty+gross%2e++The+area+is+gorgeous%2c+though%2c+and+the+air+is+fresh+and+clean%2e%0d%0a

Great+camp%2e+The+staff+is+well+trained+and+care+for+the+camp%2e+In+fact%2c+this+year+they+didn%27t+receive+a+single+complaint+against+them%2e%0d%0a

Comment+on+the+2007+camp+at+Hahobas%2e++We+attended+the+only+week+it+rained+%2d+and+it+rained%21%21++Staff+felt+the+mood+and+amplified+it%2e++The+waterfront+virtually+shut+down+%2d+so+scouts+received+partials+with+no+program+to+fill+in%2c+as+the+troop+adults+did+their+best+to+try+and+fill+in+to+keep+the+boys+busy%2e++The+dining+experience+was+not+all+that+great+%2d+lacking+reasonable+portions+%2d+2%2d3+tater+tots+per+person%21++The+layout+of+the+camp%2c+as+it+currently+sits%2c+allows+for+the+placing+of+several+troops+in+campsites+over+a+mile+from+the+dining+facility+%28which+was+mainly+an+outside+environment%29%2c+making+the+monitoring+of+12+boys+very+difficult+for+three+adults+at+the+program+areas%2e++With+the+poor+weather+%28understand+this+is+not+the+camp%27s+fault%29%2c+staff%2c+food%2c+and+waterfront+we+experienced+at+this+camp%2c+we+actually+can+claim+this+camp+contributed+to+at+least+one+scout+leaving+the+program+%2d+with+a+second+former+scout+informing+that+his+Hahobas+experience+was+a+contributing+factor+to+his+leaving+the+troop%2e%0d%0a

Hahobas+is+a+very+well+run+camp%2e+It+has+a+very+capable%2c+accessable%2c+and+responsive+staff%2e+The+camp+director+and+ranger%2c+as+well+as+all+other+staff+members%2c+make+themselves+very+accessable+to+anyone+who+wants+to+talk+to+them%2e+Any+suggestions+or+complaints+that+you+have+will+be+taken+to+heart%2c+and+changes%2c+if+necessary%2c+will+be+made+immedeatly%2e+%0d%0aThe+TTFC+program%2c+called+the+Pathfinder+Program+at+Hahobas%2c+is+top+notch%2e+The+area+is+actually+spread+out+over+a+large+piece+of+land%2c+with+each+part+of+the+area+designated+for+a+certain+skill%2e+For+example%2c+there+is+a+model+campsite+where+camping+requirements+are+completed%2c+an+orienteering+area%2c+a+knot+tying+corral+where+the+staff+are+on+the+inside+%28so+they%27re+in+the+middle%29%2c+teaching+the+scouts+one%2don%2done+on+the+outside%2c+and+one+area+where+all+the+talking+requirments+are+completed%2e+In+addition%2c+the++area+is+located+centrally%2c+being+near+all+of+the+other+program+areas%2c+so+when+they+do+have+to+go+outside+the+area+%28for+example%2c+to+complete+swimming+requirements%29%2c+they+do+not+have+to+go+far+at+all%2e%0d%0aSeveral+outposts+occur+on+Thursday+nights%2e+In+addition+to+the+usual+Wilderness+Survival+outpost%2c+there+was+a+canoeing+outpost%2c+an+outpost+where+scouts+were+able+to+complete+the+requirement+of+an+emergency+drill+for+E%2e+Prep%2e+merit+badge%2c+a+nature+outpost%2c+and+a+mountain+man+outpost%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aThe+camp+also+sports+a+high+quality+COPE+Course%2c+with+many+high+and+low+cope+events%2c+including+a+rock+wall%2c+zipline%2c+traverse+wires%2c+and+the+swinging+log%21%0d%0a%0d%0aThere+are+plans+to+open+up+a+saltwater+program+next+year+%282009%29+on+the+Hood+Canal%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aOverall+it+is+a+great+camp%21%0d%0a

Our+Troop+attended+Camp+Hahobas+in+the+summer+of+2007+and+swore+we+would+NEVER+return%2e+It+was+horrible%2e+The+food%2c+staff%2c+TTFC%2c+waterfront%2c+archery+%26+rifle%2c+etc+was+the+worst%2e++Well%2c+never+say+never%2e+Due+to+unforeseen+events+our+Troop%27s+first+choice+for+summer+camp+in+2009+fell+through+and+went+with+our+2nd+choice%2c+Camp+Hahobas%2e+I+cringed%2c+but+it+was+their+choice%2e+All+I+can+say+is+WOW%21%21+This+place+has+done+a+180+degree+turn+around+from+2007%2e+AWESOME+Staff%21+AWESOME+Activities%21+AWESOME+Program%2e+AWESOME+everything%21+Seriously+folks%2c+this+is+what+Summer+Camp+is+all+about%21+Our+boys+could+care+less+that+it+was+a+mile+from+our+camp+site+to+chow%2e+They+loved+the+whole+experience%21%21+Thanks+STAFF%21%21+You%27re+doing+a+GREAT+job%21%21%0d%0a

We+had+a+very+good+experince+at+hahobas+this+year%2e++Our+boys+spent+a+lot+of+ther+time+at+the+shooting+sports+Shotgun+rifle+and+archery+all+instrucors+were+very+helpful+and+patient+with+all+the+boys%2e+The+water+front+was+well+run++with+a+helpful+staff%2e++The+blacksmithing+area+is+well+equiped+and+has+a+close+assoiation+with+the+northwest+blacksmith+assiotion+whe+helps+train+the+staff%2e+our+boys+were+very+happy+with+the+program%2e+As+a+troop+we+chose+to+do+our+own+cooking+so+we+could+work+on+the+cooking+merit+badge%2e+the+camp+provided+ice+for+our+ice+chests+Im+very+glad+they+give+us+the+option+to+do+this+with+a+discount%2e%0d%0a

CLOSED+and+up+for+sale%2e++Our+Chief+Seattle+Troop+has+been+attending+Hahobas+for+many+many+years%2e%2e%2e+one+reason%2e%2e%2e+best+merit+badge+program+in+the+state%2e++Hahobas+kept+an+outstanding+staff%2c+top+to+bottom%2e++Over+the+past+three+years+I+have+seen+marked+improvement+in+the+facilities%2c+which+only+caused+me+to+want+to+return+again+this+year%2e++Unfortunately%2c+The+Pacific+Harbor+Council+has+decided+to+close+4+of+5+summer+camps%2c+including+Hahobas%2e+Too+bad%2e%2e%2e+programs+like+this+are+hard+to+find%2e%0d%0a
