As a former Scout Master from Fort Ord, CA. I took my Troop to Pico Blanco several times. They had one of the best outdoor camping programs , summer camp in the area. Located in redwoods fully developed camping sites, camping is all year. This is old info it may be cahanged now but Pico was well worth the trip!!!

I+spent+one+summer+at+Pico+Blanco+with+my+mom+and+brothers+and+You+wake+up+everyday+and+see+these+people+smiling+and+can%27t+help%2c+but+think+this+is+such+a+magical+place%2e+%0d%0a

I+have+camped+at+Pico+with+my+troop+3+years+in+a+row+%2c+Outstanding+programs%2c+a+new+dinning+Hall%2cOutstanding+Staff%2c+a+great+place+to+camp%2eWorth+the+price%2c+Worth+the+trip%2e%0d%0a

I+attended+Pico+Blanco+as+a+Scout+camper+in+1969+and+1971%2e++Later+I+was+on+the+staff+from+1976+to+1980%2e++A+wonderful+camp+%26+wonderful+experiences%2e++%0d%0a

My+Troop+goes+every+year%2c+a+great+place%2c+there+is+a+new+mess+hall+and+the+fish+ladder+is+done+on+the+Little+Sur+Creek+also+there+are+new+hot+showers+and+new+bathrooms+most+of+the+old+wooden+ones+are+now+gone%2e+We+have+had+a+great+time%2eI+highly+recommend+it%2e%0d%0a

Great+Camp+since+the+Fire+all+the+brush+is+cleared+out+now+the+dinning+Hall+is+completed+and+it+fully+open+again%2e+We+are+looking+forward+to+returning+to+Pico+Blanco%2eIt+was+closed+last+year+becasue+to+the+fire+there%2e%0d%0a

I+was+the+Aquatic+Director+there+in+1991+or+92%2e+I+loved+it%2e+The+opportunity+was+fantastic+and+the+kids+were+great+fun%2e+I+was+a+soldier+at+Fort+Ord+and+was+selected+by+the+command+to+be+allowed+the+honor%2e+My+Son+still+wears+the+jacket+and+he%27s+now+21%2e+I+wish+that+I+could+remember+the+names+of+those+kids+or+had+some+photos%2e%0d%0a
