Great+camp+with+a+wonderful+staff%2e++This+camp+is+tucked+in+a+valley+in+the+North+Georgia+mountains+near+Clayton%2e++The+camp+has+a+new%2c+very+large%2c+air+conditioned+dining+hall%2e+The+on%2dline+registration+system+and+CD%2dRom+provided+to+units+last+year+made+registration+and+prepartion+for+our+scouts+a+breeze%2e++This+year%27s+CD+makes+it+even+easier+for+our+scouts+to+select+merit+badge+classes+by+areas+of+interest%2e++High+adventure+programs%2c+such+as+COPE%2c+whitewater+rafting%2c+mountain+biking%2c+and+mountaineering+offer+our+older+scouts+challenges%2e++The+TNT+courses+for+new+scouts+are+great+for+fast%2dtracking+their+advancement+towards+Tenderfoot%2c+Second+Class%2c+and+First+Class%2e+Our+troop+is+returning+this+year%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a

In+my+opinion%2c+Camp+Rainy+Mountain+was+excellent%2e+Plenty+of+activities+to+do+there%2e+Our+troop+is+returning+this+year%2e+%0d%0a

Our+troop+had+a+great+time+at+Camp+Rainey+Mountain+this+year+and+have+signed+up+to+attend+again+next+year%2e++Improvements+to+the+already+great+TNT+course+for+new+scouts+were+outstanding+and+makes+it+the+best+we%27ve+seen+so+far+in+the+Georgia+%2d+Tennessee+area%2e++Our+older+scouts+are+excited+about+doing+the+50%2dmile+Trek+next+year%2e%0d%0aKeep+up+the+good+work%21%0d%0a

The+on+line+registration+is+the+BEST%2e++Scheduled+and+re%2dscheduled+scouts+up+through+the+night+before+classes%2e++Our+only+complaint+was+%22no+seconds%22+at+meals%2e++Every+one+complained+about+not+enough+food%2e++We+are+not+going+back+next+year%2e%0d%0a

The+on%2dline+registration+was+very+nice%2c+as+was+the+A%2fC+dining+hall%2e%0d%0aFirst+year+camper+staff+was+top+notch%2c+but+the+shooting+sports+program+has+major+facilities%2fstaff%2fprogram+shortcomings%2e%0d%0a

Past+summer+was+our+first+time+to+this+camp%2c+and+we+plan+to+return+for+many+summers%21++The+best+program+staff%2c+facilities%2c+and+administration+by+far+of+ANY+camp+we%27ve+been+to%2e++Dining+Hall+operation+is+top+notch%2e%0d%0a

My+troop+has+been+coming+to+Rainey+Mtn%2e+for+years+and+with+the+new+Dining+Hall+the+food+has+only+gotten+better%2e++The+boys+always+had+plenty+to+eat+and+the+Dining+Hall+director+was+always+telling+us+to+come+back+if+we+needed+more%2e++%0d%0a

Not+sure+who+to+direct+this+to+but+just+wanted+to+comment+about+Camp+Rainey+Mountain%2e++This+is+the+second+year+my+son+has+attended+%26+he+loves+it%2e++The+only+thing+is+there+appears+to+be+a+problem+with+the+public+phones%2e++I+spoke+to+him+last+night%2c+June+16%2c+2004%2c+%26+it+was+almost+impossible+to+hear+him%2e++Told+him+to+use+the+other+phone+%28he+says+there+are+only+2%29+next+time+he+calls+%26+he+said+HE+can%27t+hear+at+all+on+that+one%2e++Anyway%2c+thought+someone+might+want+to+followup+%26+get+those+boys+some+working+phones%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aThanks%2c%0d%0aLaurie+Chavis%0d%0a%0d%0a

this+is+the+best+summer+camp+in+the+world+my+troop+has+been+coming+here+for+10+years+close+to+the+white+water+rafting%0d%0a%0d%0akeep+up+good+work+David%0d%0a

We+went+to+CRM+this+year%2c+beautiful+facilities%2c+program+was+lacking+though%2e+1+of+our+leaders+had+to+step+in+and+teach+a+merit+badge%2c+councilor+knew+nothing+about+it%2c+and+this+was+week+5%2e+Also+see+coments+on+the+food%2c+but+we+were+not+pleased%2c+too+small+of+portions+and+no+seconds+ever%2e+Kitchen+ran+out+of+food+on+family+night%2c+and+50+people+had+to+wait+over+1+hr+for+more+to+be+cooked%2e%0d%0a

I+took+46+boys+and+6+adults+to+CRM+summer+of+2007%2e+The+strongest+point+of+CRM+is+the+staff+%2d+motivated%2c+knowledgeable+and+very+able%2e+We+were+worried+at+first+about+accommodations+but+CRM+did+everything+in+their+power+to+assist+us+and+were+great%2e+Downside%2d+there+seems+to+be+a+trend+to+pack+as+many+scouts+into+camp+as+possible%2e+Would+return+in+the+future%2e%0d%0a

Ideal+location+with+great+common+facilities%2e+Temperature+was+moderate+in+early+June%2e++Clayton+is+nearby+with+hardware+store%2c+Walmart%2c+and+other++amenities%2e+The+dining+hall+and+the+trading+post+are+excellent%2e+The+waterfront+is+adequate%2e+The+campsites%2c+however%2c+were+disappointing%2e++What+served+as+a+pavilion+was+a+frayed+rain+tarp+with+a+broken+frame%2e++%28We+were+fortunate+enough+to+have+brought+our+own%2e%29++I+would+also+echo+the+observation+that+the+camp+was+overbooked%2e+%0d%0a

Ideal+location%2e+Wonderful+weather+and+activities%2e+Shooting+sports+were+just+okay%2e+The+scouts+could+have+used+more+time+shooting%2e+We+teach+these+scouts+%27leave+no+trace%22+yet+there+were+no+garbage+cans+at+the+fishing+hut+for+fishing+line%2e++It+was+everywhere%2e+Not+all+restrooms+had+garbage+cans+either%2e+Very+much+enjoyed+the+air+conditioned+dining+hall%2e++Food+wasn%27t+bad+just+not+enough%2e+If+you+were+last+in+line+you+may+not+have+received+what+the+first+guy+received%2e+Plenty+of+activities+for+scouts+of+all+ages%2e+Fun+staff%2e+Well+stocked+trading+post%2e+Check+in+was+a+nightmare%2e++Two+and+one+half+hours+to+go+through+their+%22medical+screening%22%2e+Only+one+person+to+remove+the+thermometer+from+712+campers%2e+Not+a+good+way+to+start+the+experience+of+CRM%2e+%0d%0a

Camp+itself+is+beautiful%2e++Boys+had+a+great+time+and+thought+the+program+was+terrific%2e++Our+campsite+was+a+hazard%2e++We+had+to+pull+ourselves+up+by+a+rope+along+a+root+covered+incline%2e++The+site+has+almost+eroded+away%2e++It+was+a+miracle+no+one+was+seriously+injured%2e++Dining+hall+food+was+adequate%2c+but+the+wait+was+ridiculous%2e++Not+enough+seats%2e++Camp+is+obviously+overbooked%2e++%0d%0a

Our+troop+visited+Camp+Rainey+Mountain+three+years+and+never+went+back%2e++The+mosquitoes+will+carry+you+away+and+the+campsites+are+hard+to+get+to%2e++This+place+is+run+down+and+they+do+not+put+anything+into+renovating+it+until+something+completely+falls+apart%2e+The+food+was+scarce+and+tasteless%2e++It%27s+a+shame+because+it+is+located+in+the+beautiful+North+GA+mountains+and+the+%22seasoned%22+leaders+are+phenomenal%2e+They+also+lose+your+paperwork+and+sometimes+forget+to+correctly+mark+what+has+been+completed%2e++Tried+to+reach+the+district+office+and+they+said+all+the+copies+of+the+merit+badge+reports+were+tossed+in+a+box%2d+impossible+to+find+out+if+need+be%2e+Don%27t+waste+your+time+unless+you%27re+desperate%2e%0d%0a

Our+Troop+attended+CRM+this+past+summer%2e++As+with+any+other+camp%2c+there+are+positives+and+negatives%2c+but+needless+to+say%2c+the+positives+far+outweigh+negatives%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aPostives%0d%0a%0d%0aExcellent+staff%2c+top+to+bottom%0d%0aTNT+%28first+year+camper+program%29+superior+to+any+other+camp+we+have+seen%0d%0aBeautiful+surroundings%0d%0aWide+range+of+activities+and+MB%27s+for+the+kids+%28over+60%29%0d%0aGreat+high+adventure+programs%0d%0aDespite+what+previous+poster+said%2c+we+found+place+to+be+pretty+much+bug+free%2e%2e%2e%0d%0aGreat+leader+lounge+with+computers+and+WIFI+%28forget+the+cell+phone+though%2c+no+coverage+at+all%29%0d%0a%0d%0aNegatives%0d%0aBIG+camp%2e%2e%2ecrowded+the+week+we+were+there%0d%0aOnly+one+session+in+dining+hall%2e++Depending+on+when+you+were+sat%2c+you+could+be+watching+people+on+their+way+out+by+the+time+%0d%0aTight+scheduling%2e%2e%2eI+guess+you+could+view+this+as+a+positive%2c+in+that+the+kids+were+ALWAYS+busy%2c+but+we+ended+up+skipping+some+things+as+a+Troop+as+the+kids+were+just+plain+worn+out%2e%0d%0aFood+only+OK%2e%2e%2ethey+try%2c+but+lots+of+carbs%2c+water+only+at+lunch%2c+and+little+fiber%2e++We+had+several+kids+complaining+of+constipation+due+to+the+diet%2c+so+we+supplemented+them%2e%0d%0aLake+is+a+mud+hole%2e++Not+sure+if+it+is+like+this+all+the+time%2c+but+kids+really+didn%27t+want+to+go+in+the+water+for+swim+classes%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aAll+told%2c+we+are+putting+the+camp+on+our+rotation%2c+but+the+biggest+reason+was+instruction+and+staff%2e++%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0a

Our+Troop+completed+week+7%2c+2010%2e++This+was+our+7th+year+at+CRM+and+I+concur+with+all+from+the+previous+poster+for+2010%2e++Some+comments+for+those+from+past+years%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aCamp+is+still+rugged%2c+with+some+challenging+sites%2c+but+CRM+has+put+a+few+million+in+upgrades+the+past+two+years+%2d+many+more+adirondaks+and+bath+houses+with+power+and+hot+water%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aStaff+is+one+of+the+best+trained+and+motivated+I%27ve+seen+in+30+years+%2d+from+CA+to+FL+to+VA%2e++Great+leadership+and+the+best+TNT+%28new+Scout%29+program+anywhere%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aWaterfront+is+so%2dso%2c+but+CRM+has+a+new+Science+Program+with+MB%27s+you+won%27t+see+elsewhere%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aCheck%2din+has+changed%21++It+is+still+slow+for+the+Scoutmaster%2c+but+the+boys+zipped+thru+medical+in+minutes%2e++I+was+impressed%2c+as+I%27ve+experienced+the+past%2c+slow+process%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aIf+you+don%27t+like+skeeters%2c+stay+away+from+the+waterfalls%2c+otherwise+this+was+an+unusually+record+hot+week+this+year+%284+days+100%2b%29%2c+but+no+problems+with+mosquitoes+in+camps%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aTremendous+campfire+programs+and+OA+support%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aEcho+that+CRM+has+the+best+on%2dline+registration+program+anywhere%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aTroop+576+%2d+Indian+Waters+Council%3b+Irmo%2c+SC%0d%0a

This+camp+is+amazing%21+The+waterfront+staff+is+phenomenal%2e+Although+they+were+dealing+with+an+older+dock+that+might+have+been+slightly+cramped+%28from+what+I+understand+they+just+built+a+new+one+for+the+2011+season%29they+were+so+well+trained+and+accommodating+to+scouts+with+all+needs%2e+Someone+from+our+council+also+told+our+scoutmaster+that+they+were+going+to+a+two+shift+dining+hall+rotation+to+fix+the+overcrowding+problems%2e+Our+boys+also+really+enjoyed+the+high+adventure+program+and+the+gold+rush+program%2e+All+in+all+it%27s+a+great+CAMP%2e%2e%2e+%28extra+emphasis+on+the+camp%29%2e+If+you+don%27t+like+the+outdoors%2c+bugs%2c+weather+tents%2c+or+doing+anything+but+staying+inside%2c+CRM+like+every+other+camp+%28except+for+maybe+Woodruff%2e%2e%2e+I+hear+they+are+accepting+girl+scout+applications+this+year+which+will+go+right+along+with+their+paved+roads%29+is+not+for+you%2e+Camp+Rainey+Mountain+is+truly+an+awesome+camp%2e%0d%0a

Troop+from+Louisiana%2c+we+visited+this+July+and+found+the+weather+very+bearable+with+the+occasional+expected+summer+shower%2e++As+with+all+camps+there+are+negatives+and+positives%3a%0d%0aPositives%2e%2e%2e%0d%0a1%2e+Camp+ws+well+layed+out+and+most+of+the+activities+were+centralized+in+3+or+4+locations+for+multiple+merit+badges%2e%0d%0a2%2e+the+Camp+staff+was+very+knowledgeable%2c+motivated+and+freindly%2e++I+particularly+liked+having+2+%22camp+counselors%22+who+really+interacted+with+our+boys+and+made+the+experience+personal%2e%0d%0a3%2e+location+and+surroundings+were+beautiful%0d%0a4%2e+the+campsites+and+tents+were+in+good+repair+and+dining+canopy+was+in+place+over+our+2+camp+picnic+tables+%28+we+had+a+third+in+the+open%29%0d%0a5%2e+the+camp+also+offered+high+adventure+activities%0d%0aNEGATIVES%2e%2e%2e%0d%0a1%2e+FOOD%2e%2e%2enot+that+it+was+bad+but+barely+enough+and+no+seconds+offered%2e%2e%2e+85lb+scouts+got+the+same+as+200lb+scouts%2e%2e%2eate+in+2+shifts+and+if+your+troop+was+toward+the+back+of+the+line+all+the+%22extras%22+were+gone+%28+shredded+cheese%2c+salad%2c+etc+etc%2e%29%0d%0a2%2e+waterfront+was+lacking%2e%2e%2efree+swim+for+dining+shift+2+was+at+7%3a15+PM%2e++Would+have+liked+to+see+free+swim+at+around+5%3a00PM%0d%0a

Great+Camp%21+800+boys+per+week+for+8+weeks+takes+it%27s+toll%2e%0d%0aBut+then+again+as+SM+myself+and+ASM%27s+don%27t+lay+around%2e+Camp+improvements+for+a+week+does+a+body+good%21%0d%0aIf+it%27s+broke+offer+to+fix+it%2e%0d%0aThis+is+what+made+this+camp+take+first+place+for+2010+BSA+camps%2e+%0d%0aWhat%27s+great+is+all+of+the+water+is+potable%2e+The+ranger+is+a+Ga+state+certified+water+dude%2e+%0d%0a

The+camp+itself+is+pretty+good%2e+however+if+you+are+not+of+a+white+race%2e%2e%2e+get+ready%2e+the+staff+here+is+RACIST%2e+they+treated+our+troop+differently+and+the+staff+didn%27t+care+about+our+problems%2e+if+your+white+and+sound+southern+you+will+probably+enjoy+it+more+than+my+troop+did%2e+%0d%0a

We+attended+week+5+2012+and+had+an+amazing+time%2e++The+camp+has+great+facilities+and+a+terrific+staff%2e++The+majority+of+the+merit+badge+counselors+were+very+knowledgable+and+demonstrated+skill+in+motivating+and+encouraging+the+scouts+to+develop+their+skills%2e++Unfortunately%2c+not+every+scout+signed+up+for+a+particular+merit+badge+appeared+to+have+any+interest+in+the+subject%2e++Many+came+unprepared+and+this+frustrated+the+scouts+who+were%2e++For+its+part%2c+CRM+encourages+leaders+to+have+their+scouts+obtain%2c+and+read%2c+the+merit+badge+pamphlet+before+coming+to+camp+and+to+complete+the+prerequisites%2e++They+also+stock+a+full+assortment+of+merit+badge+books+in+the+trading+post%2e++Of+course+there+were+the+occasional+counselor+who+was+not+fully+versed+in+the+subject+and+they+tended+to+lean+on+their+more+experienced+colleagues%2e++The+only+really+dull+spot+in+an+otherwise+great+week+of+camp+was+the+dining+hall%2e++The+foodservice+staff+needs+some+serious+training+and+the+portion+size%2fbalanced+menu+concept+seems+to+be+a+foreign+subject%2e++I+witnessed+food+being+served+without+proper+temperature+controls%2c+sneeze+guards%2c+etc%2e+at+almost+every+meal%2e++One+breakfast+consisted+entirely+of+bread+and+pastry+products+and+canned+fruit+cocktail%2e++The+staff%27s+response+to+negative+feedback+regarding+the+food+was+that+it+was+what+the+boys+like%2e++It+did+not+appear+that+any+menu+items+were+prepared+on+site+%2d+all+convenience+foods+with+the+exception+of+the+steak+and+chicken+dinner+served+to+the+leaders+one+night%2e++Come+on+CRM+%2d+I+know+you+can+do+better+than+this%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aRanger+Chuck+is+a+great+resource+and+is+truly+appreciative+of+any+projects+the+adults+are+willing+to+take+on+for+him%2e++++Camille+on+the+Rifle+range+is+also+an+exceptional+teacher%2e++The+climbing+and+COPE+programs+are+on+site+and+our+scouts+loved+them%2e++Also%2c+take+advantage+of+the+white+water+rafting+trip+available+on+Thursday%2e++We+went+to+the+Nantahala+and+although+two+hours+each+way+in+a+school+bus+is+more+than+I+would+normally+want+to+do%2c+our+entire+troop+%2836+people%29+went+and+it+was+a+greta+experience+even+for+the+experienced+rafters%2e++++%0d%0a

I+took+fifty+boys+and+fifteen+leaders+for+the+seventh+week+season+this+year%2e+The+staff+was+great%2e+The+portion+size+at+the+dinning+hall+was+rather+poor%2c+we+ended+up+feeding+our+boys+in+camp+for+the+week%2e+CRM+has+some+issues+with+upper+management+they+need+to+work+out%2c+i%2ee+communication%2e+The+best+thing+this+camp+has+going+for+it+is+Ranger+Chuck%2c+he+is+great+with+the+boys+and+the+leaders+and+is+very+appreciative+of+any+help+and+feedback%2e+Wish+this+could+be+said+for+the+camp+director%2e%0d%0a

Here+is+the+review+of+our+summer+camp+experience+at+Camp+Rainey+Mountain+%28Northeast+Georgia+Council%2c+Jefferson%2c+GA%29%2e++We+attended+%0d%0aCamp+the+third+week+of+camp+%28June+22%2d28+2003%29%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aHere+are+the+ratings+used+in+the+past+for+each+aspect+of+the+summer+camp%0d%0aexperience%2e%0d%0aA+%3d+Excellent%0d%0aB+%3d+Above+Average%0d%0aC+%3d+Average%0d%0aD+%3d+Below+Average%0d%0aF+%3d+Unsatisfactory%0d%0a%0d%0a1%2e++Pre+Camp+Information+and+Ease+of+Arranging+the+Trip+%28including+the+%0d%0aleaders%27+guide%29++A%0d%0aGuide+was+available+in+on+CD%2dROM+and+available+for+download+online%2e+All+%0d%0acommunications+with+Council+excellent%2e+Online+merit+badge+class+sign%2dup+worked+%0d%0agreat%2e+Classes+displayed+with+pulldown+listings+showing+available+slots+for+each+%0d%0aclass%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a2%2e++Check+in%2fout+Process+%2d+Arrival+%26+Departure+A%0d%0aWe+arrived+late+on+Sunday+and+missed+check+in+window+which+was+only+two+hours+%0d%0along+so+didn%27t+get+tour+at+check+in%2e+Checkout+was+painless%2e+We+got+a+sheet+%0d%0afor+each+Scout+listing+his+classes+and+showing+completed+merit+badges+and+%0d%0arequirements+remaining+on+partials%2e+Also+given+a+folder+with+all+written+classwork+%0d%0adone+during+the+week%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a3%2e++The+Campsite++A%0d%0aAll+sites+are+on+an+incline+but+platforms+were+fairly+level%2e++Mixture+of+%0d%0aadirondacks+and+tents%2e++Our+site+had+only+tents%2e+Camp+provided+a+10+x+20+fly+in+%0d%0aeach+campsite%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a4%2e++Latrine+%26+Shower+Facilities+B%2b%0d%0aLatrine+in+each+camp+site%2e+Very+smelly+as+it+was+full%2e+Camp+provided+Porta+%0d%0aPotties+for+most+campsites+as+soon+as+problem+was+identified%2e+Central+shower+%0d%0afacilities+with+individual+shower+and+flush+toilet%2e+There+were+several+of+these+%0d%0afacilities+located+around+camp%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a5%2e++Camp+Administration++A%2b%0d%0aVery+responsive%2e+Sunday+night+SM+meeting+agenda+quite+lengthy+and+complete%2e+%0d%0aSM+meetings+on+Sunday%2c+Tuesday+and+Friday%2e+Council+Exec+visited+during+week+for+%0d%0aSM+dinner+%2d+steak+and+chicken+%2d++and+unlike+our+home+council%2c+he+really+%0d%0aseemed+interested+in+what+the+%22volunteers%22+had+to+say%2e+Council+is+in+process+of+%0d%0acompleting+a+20+year+plan+which+includes+a+new+canoe+base+%28within+2+years%29+and+%0d%0atwo+additional+camps+%288%2d12+years%29%2e+Council+currently+operates+two+camps+%28Rainey+%0d%0aMountain+and+Scoutland+0n+Lake+Lanier%29+and+does+week%2dlong+high+adventure+camp+%0d%0awith+Army+Rangers+as+well%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a6%2e++Camp+Commissioner+Program+++A%0d%0aFriendly+and+helpful%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a7%2e++Camp+Staff+++A%0d%0aThis+was+my+seventh+summer+camp+and+fifth+different+camp+and+this+staff+was+%0d%0aby+far+the+best+I+have+seen%2e+Staff+was+120+strong+and+displayed+great+spirit+%0d%0aand+camaraderie%2e+They+marched+in+and+out+of+morning+and+evening+formations+as+a+%0d%0abody+with+one+leader+calling+cadence%21%0d%0a%0d%0a8%2e++Merit+Badge+Program+++A+%0d%0aVery+well+done%2e+Had+to+make+some+last+minute+changes+on+Sunday+evening+after+%0d%0acheck+in+but+online+registration+worked+as+advertised%2e+Camp+office+manager+was+%0d%0amost+helpful+in+getting+revised+schedules+printed+for+Scouts%2e+Had+one+Scout+%0d%0asigned+up+for+Painting+MB+thinking+it+was+an+art+class+but+ended+up+painting+%0d%0alifeguard+tower+instead%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a9%2e++New+Scout+Program+++A%2b%0d%0aHusband+and+wife+team+headed+up+this+area+and+did+a+great+job%2e+Boys+working+%0d%0aon+Tenderfoot+through+First+Class+had+a+3+hour+program%2c+those+who+were+already+%0d%0aTenderfoot+had+a+2+hour+session%2c+and+those+who+were+Second+Class+had+a+1+hour+%0d%0aclass%2e+Our+newest+Scout+was+in+3+hour+session+and+completed+all+but+2+items+%0d%0afor+Tenderfoot%2c+and+4+each+for+Second+and+First+Class%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a10%2e+Activities+for+Older+Scouts+++A%2b%0d%0aCamp+offers+a+unique+whitewater+kayaking+program%2e+We+had+three+Scouts+%0d%0aparticipate+and+they+got+full+day+instruction+on+lake+in+camp+and+then+did+three+%0d%0adifferent+rivers+on+remaining+days%2e+Class+is+limited+to+10+per+week+with+at+least+%0d%0a4+instructors+accompanying+them+on+river+trips%2e+Also+offered+week+long+Trek%2c+%0d%0aClimbing+and+COPE+programs%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a11%2e+Special+Activities+++A%2d%0d%0aWhitewater+rafting+on+Nantahala+River+was+offered+for+any+Scout+over+60%23%2e+%0d%0aTroop+had+to+provide+transportation%2e+Not+as+exciting+as+Ocoee%2c+which+we+did+last+%0d%0ayear%2c+but+much+colder+water%2e+Camp+held+troop+competitions+one+evening+and+%22Men+%0d%0aof+the+Mountain%22+competitions+one+evening+in+which+2+Scout+teams+had+to+%0d%0acomplete+tasks+from+each+skill+area%2e+Only+problem+was+time+was+too+short+for+the+%0d%0anumber+of+teams+that+signed+up%2e+Understand+that+there+were+about+4+times+as+many+%0d%0ateams+as+previous+week%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a12%2e+Chapel+Program+++A%2b%0d%0aVespers+on+Sunday%2e++Camp+staff+included+a+Chaplain+who+also+conducted+%0d%0aChaplain%27s+Aide+training%2e+%0d%0a%0d%0a13%2e+Dining+Hall+and+Food+++C+%2f+B%0d%0aFantastic+Dining+Hall%2e++Eating+was+a+chore+trying+to+fit+800%2b+people+in+at+%0d%0aone+time%2e+Very+crowded+seating+and+high+noise+level%2e+Food+served+cafeteria+style+%0d%0awith+no+seconds+offered%2e+Scoutmaster+Brunch+on+Friday+morning+was+%0d%0aoutstanding%21%0d%0a%0d%0a14%2e+Trading+Post+++A%0d%0aSmall%2c+but+well+run%2e+Somehow+camp+had+access+to+irregular+BSA+uniform+stock+%0d%0aand+offered+shirts%2c+pants%2c+and+shorts+at+%2410+per+item%2e+Also+had+Venturing+%0d%0auniforms+for+same+price+and+Philmont+tan+shorts+for+%2415%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a15%2e+Other+Buildings%2fFacilities+++B%2b%0d%0aSome+new+buildings+and+many+older+buildings%2e+All+buildings+were+in+good+%0d%0arepair%2e+Maintenance+for+problems+occurring+during+week+was+quick+and+efficient%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a16%2e+Overall+Grade%3a++++++A%0d%0aCRM+was+celebrating+its+50th+summer+this+year+and+our+week+was+highest+%0d%0aattendance+week+in+history%2e+We+are+considering+return+next+year%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a17%2e+Do+you+recommend+the+camp+for+other+troops%3f%0d%0aWholeheartedly%21++Many+troops+from+Florida+%2d+seeking+cool+weather+%2d+and+%0d%0aAlabama%2e+Super+staff+and+excellent+facilities%2e+Unique+high+adventure+opportunities%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aNed+Darden%0d%0aScoutmaster%2c+Troop+451%0d%0aPace%2c+FL+%28near+Pensacola%29%0d%0awww%2ebsatroop451%2eorg%0d%0a

Make+sure+you+bring+your+rain+gear%2e++This+camp+lives+up+to+it%27s+name%2e%0d%0a+About+two+years+ago+I+was+there+with+Troop+212+from+Lutz%2c+FL%2c+and+it%0d%0arained+every+day%2c+sometimes+twice+a+day+as+it+bounced+off+the%0d%0amountain+and+came+back%2e++Also+if+you+are+not+used+to+walking+up+and%0d%0adown+steep+hills+you+might+find+some+muscles+you+never+knew+you+had%2e%0d%0aOur+troop+did+have+a+great+time%2e+On+the+way+we+stayed+at+Warner%2d%0d%0aRobbins+AFB%0d%0a

Our+troop+has+ventured+from+S+Florida+for+the+past+5+years+to+Rainy+Mountain%2e++The+camp+organization+tends+to+be+very+hospitable+to+Florida+troops%2e++Review+is+as+follows%3a%0d%0aGood%3a%0d%0aFacilities+are+in+good+order%2e++Adirondacks+for+troop+camping%2e++%0d%0aCamp+location+surreal+in+N+GA+Mtns%0d%0aProgram+areas+nicely+organized%2e%0d%0aFirst+year+camper+program+adequate+%0d%0aStaff+program+is+very+consistent+year+after+year%0d%0aWhite+water+rafting+on+the+nearby+Chatooga+is+our+troops+overall+favorite%2e++%0d%0a%0d%0aNeeds+Improvement%3a%0d%0aCamp+site+does+not+have+electricity+%0d%0aLatrines+are+in+poor+condition%2e++Shower+houses+are+a+five+minute+walk+%0d%0aWhile+staff+is+consistent%2c+it+tends+to+coverup+maturity+issues+with+younger+counselors%2e++%0d%0aFood+is+improving%2c+but+still+is+lacking+compared+to+other+camps+I%27ve+attended%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a
