Blass Scout Reservation is a 2800 acre scout camp in central Arkansas. It is located approximately 2 miles west of Damascus, Arkansas on highway 285. Blass Scout Reservation offers 5 weeks of Boy Scout Summer camp every summer. During this time the camp is home to approximately 1000 campers. Blass Scout Reservation has the following facilities: 2 Swimming Pools; Dining hall; sewer treatment facilities with flush toilets and hot showers; C.O.P.E. Course; Climbing Tower; Archery Range; Rifle Range; Shotgun Range; Mountain Bike Program; Training Lodge; 23 camp sites for Boy Scout Camping; Camp areas with over 200 BSA canvas wall tents (cots provided).

We+have+been+in+summer+camp+three+times+here%2c+2000%2c+2001%2c+2002%2e++Arkansas+summers+can+be+quite+muggy%2c+but+the+boys+always+have+a+great+time+here%2e++Good+program%2e++Lots+of+capable+staff%2e++Good+food%2e++Camp+caters+to+those+with+disabilities%2c+too%2e++%0d%0a

The+staff+is+great%2e+As+a+mother+of+a+brand+new+Tiger+Cub%2c+who+was+completely+clueless+about+all+areas+of+scouting%2c+the+staff+was+very+friendly+and+extremely+helpful%2e+I%27ll+miss+you+Richard%2c+Mona+and+everyone+else%2e+Dakota+and+Alexandria+say+hi+as+well%0d%0a

Attended+camp+for+the+first+time+as+a+troop+this+year%2c+and+the+boys+loved+it%21%21%21++The+staff+was+friendly+and+knowledgeable%2e++The+facilities+are+first+class%3b+the+canvas+wall+tents+are+on+concrete+pads+with+an+outrigging+system+that+eliminated+that+cumbersome+middle+pole+and+the+newly+air+conditioned+dining+hall+was+always+a+welcomed+break+from+the+heat%21++The+dining+hall+food+and+the+%22burgers+on+the+lawn%22+was+delicous+and+plentiful%2e++My+troop+never+went+hungry+the+whole+time+at+camp%2e++We+look+forward+to+attending+camp+at+Gus+Blass+again+next+year%21%0d%0a

This+camp+is+awesome%2e+Amenities+include+AC+in+the+dining+hall%2c+concrete+tent+pads+with+metal+frames%2c+beautiful+scenery%2c+great+first+year+camper+program%2c+fantastic+older%2dScout+programs%2c+lots+of+great+food%2c+COPE%2c+and+the+list+goes+on+and+on%2e+Highly+recommended%21%0d%0a

This+is+a+great+camp%2e+We+always+travel+a+distance+away+from+home+for+summer+camp+and+found+this+to+be+a+wonderful+diamond+in+the+rough%2e+The+staff+is+first+rate+with+excellent+programs+to+support+the+campers%2e+I+won%92t+lie+the+summer+was+very+hot%2c+but+the+water+front+and+pool+made+it+bearable%2c+the+staff+made+it+fun+for+the+boys%2e+The+camp+was+near+capacity%2c+but+we+never+felt+like+we+were+stepping+on+top+of+each+other%2e+The+tents+are+on+concrete+pads+with+a+rain+tarp%2c+cots+to+sleep+on%2e+The+shower+facilities+are+close%2c+abundant%2c+and+clean%2e+The+dining+facility+is+air+conditioned+which+was+a+welcome+relief%2c+plenty+of+good+food%2e+The+local+Wal%2dMart+is+less+than+30+minutes+away+if+there+is+something+you+really+need%2e+By+our+policy+we+do+not+return+to+the+same+camp+2+years+in+a+row%2c+but+we+are+seriously+considering+returning+this+year%2e+They+have+3+programs+are+boys+wish+to+experience%2c+Special+Ops+run+by+a+military+Sargent%2c+extreme+aquatics+including+scuba%2c+skiing+sailing+and+wakeboarding%2c+and+a+weeklong+canoe+float%2e+I+can+satisfy+my+newbies%92+and+retain+my+older+scout+all+in+one+camp%2c+and+that+is+what+summer+camp+is+all+about%2e++%0d%0a
