Philmont Scout ranch is the largest and first of the BSA high Adventure Bases and it covers more than 200 square miles. It costs somewhare between $500-$1000 to attend and they are booked for the next three years.

This place is the best camp to go to just for a week away from everything. Explore the land of Philmont as many times as you can come from the top of Baldy, Mt. Phillips, and the Tooth of Time, to the valley of Fish Camp and Abreu, up north in the Vale Vedalle or on the beautiful meadows of Beaubein. I've been there two times and going again the summer of 2001. I was part of crew 6-29 B and Mtn. Men crew 7-09 MM2. Once you've been to Philmont you'll be dying to go again.
