A+great+place+to+go%2c+elevation%2c+bears%2c+hikes%2c+great+lake+nearby%2e++Merit+badges%2c+food+is+good%2e+cool+moutain+air%2e++The+entire+troop+loved+the+trip%2e+Troop+413++%0d%0a

We+had+a+poor+experience+in+summer+2011%2e++Poor+food%2c+mishandled+OA+call+out+%28called+out+wrong+scouts+for+several+troops%21%29%2e++In+addition+SISR+suffered+from+drought+which+meant+the+lake+dried+up+%2d+thus+no+swimming%2c+fishing%2c+boating+or+canoeing%2e++Would+not+go+back%0d%0a

We+had+a+bad+experience+in+2010%2e+Ambivalent%2fundermotivated+staff%2c+with+the+exception+of+the+high%2dquality+aquatics+director%2e+Significant+bear+problem+went+unaddressed%2e+Under%2dresourced+relative+to+other+Colorado+BSA+camps%2e+Lake+was+full+and+well+stocked+with+breeder%2dsize+trout%2c+though%2e+Would+not+go+back%2c+despite+the+fish%2e%0d%0a

We+attended+in+June+2012%2e++Camp+was+very+overcrowded+due+to+the+fires+in+northern+Colorado%2c+which+resulted+in+Troop+being+relocated+to+SISR%2e++Camp+staff+did+the+best+they+could+given+the+overcrowding%2e++I+would+say+that+SISR+would+be+a+good+camp+to+attend+under+normal+conditions%3b+the+affiliation+with+the+Rocky+Mountain+High+Adventure+Base+allows+whitewater+rafting+on+the+Arkansas%2e++The+merit+badge+program+could+be+better+run%2e++Worth+attending+if+it+is+your+Troop%27s+2nd+or+3rd+choice+for+summer+camp%2e%0d%0a

A+BIG+camp+with+well+engineered+space+between+camp+sites%2c+program%2c+kitchen%2c+and+a+really+great+shower+house+%2d%2d+far+enough+apart+that+one+really+feels+in+the+wilderness%2c+yet+close+enough+that+the+boys+don%27t+spend+all+day+walking+to+and+from%2e++Lots+of+bear%2c+deer%2c+and+bird+sighting+%2d%2d+hey%2c+they+got+there+first%21++Great+lake%2e+And+kudos+to+the+camp+for+taking+in+so+many+displaced+campers+this+summer+from+a+horrible+wildfire+season%2e++The+boys+keep+voting+to+go+back%2c+and+we%27ll+gladly+comply%2e%0d%0a

Great+place+to+take+a+troop%2e+We+always+enjoy+our+stay+at+SISR%2e+This+summer+was+a+bit+crowded+due+to+the+fires+in+CO%2e+But+the+staff+did+a+great+job+of+handling+all+the+extra+scouts+and+leaders%2e%0d%0a

We+attended+in+June+2012%2e+The+camp+was+very+overcrowded%2e%2e%2e+We+were+put+between+2+campsites+in+tents+that+were+half+setup%2e+Others+arrived+to+find+they+didn%27t+have+tents+for+them+to+sleep+in%2e+The+food+was+horible+with+most+packaged+food+outdated+by+3+months+and+condiments+outdated+by+2+years%2e+I+would+plan+to+take+food+or+leave+to+get+food+while+you+are+there%2e+We+signed+up+for+the+Whitewater+Rafting+and+got+to+go+on+the+all+day+trip%2e%2e%2e+all+the+others+were+told+it+had+been+changed+to+a+half+day+trip+at+the+same+cost+the+day+before+the+trip+and+2+groups+were+told+they+couldn%27t+go+because+they+didn%27t+have+room+for+them+even+on+the+half+day+trip%2e+We+had+a+bear+in+the+campsite+%281+of+3+we+saw%29+in+the+trash+can+the+night+the+staff+didn%27t+come+by+to+empty+it%2e+Considering+we+drove+over+2000+miles+to+get+there+we+were+expecting+more%2e+The+highlight+of+the+trip+was+going+to+the+High+Adventure+Base+for+Whitewater+rafting%2e%0d%0a

We+were+thankful+that+the+camp+took+us+in+during+the+fires+this+year%2e+I+know+it+was+a+little+crowded+our+week%2c+but+the+experience+was+worth+it%2e+Our+Scouts+thought+the+staff+was+great%2e+Rafting+through+their+Rocky+Mountain+High+Adventure+Base+was+quite+fun%2e+Thank+you%21%0d%0a

Considering+all+the+fires+in+Colorado+this+year+and+two+other+camps+closed%2c+I+think+the+staff+at+San+Isabel+did+a+good+job+taking+in+hundreds+of+other+scouts+who+were+diverted+there%2e+Staff+was+good+and+friendly+and+motivated%2e+Tommy+was+an+excellent+camp+director%2e+Food+was+good+for+kids%2e+I+think+the+adult+portions+were+a+little+small%2e+Good+MB+program%2e+There+was+water+in+the+lake+this+year%2e+%0d%0a

This+was+a+beautiful+camp+to+enjoy+during+summer+months%2e++The+staff+was+attentive+to+the+boys+with+a+mixture+of+very+seasoned+leaders+and+very+new%2e++The+number+of+black+bears+that+moved+through+the+camp%2c+tents+and+camp+sites+this+year+was+unsettling%2e++We+are+in+their+habitat+when+camping+but+younger+scouts+do+not+always+understand+the+risks+of+even+having+empty+smellable+wrappers+in+camp+or+their+tents%2c+a+dangerous+combination%2e%0d%0a
