We+just+returned+from+Week+2+of+2003%2e+The+troop+had+a+great+time%2e+The+merit+badge+instruction+was+very+good+with+only+a+few+exceptions%28to+be+expected+at+a+camp+this+large%29%2e+The+raven+scout+program+was+excellent%2e+Our+one+negative+was+the+lack+of+campwide+spirit%2e+We+were+the+only+troop+prepared+with+songs+and+chants%2e+%0d%0a

Ravenknob+was+a+great+camp+so+maney+merit+badges+but+there+wer1+1000+kids+and+maybe+150+staff+atmost+and+the+most+merit+badges+classes+i+was+in+had+at+leat+50+kids+and+1+counselar+%0d%0a%0d%0aChris+Lambert+%0d%0aTroop+232+Charlotte+NC%0d%0a

I+just+returned+from+Raven+Knob+and+it+was+awesome%2e++There+were+610+Scouts+and+125+leaders%2e++Merit+badges+were+fine%2c+but+climbing+the+Knob+was+the+best%21++The+lake+was+great+to+cool+off+in+and+the+chow+was+pretty+good+for+a+Scout+camp%2e++Best+I%27ve+been+to+yet%21%0d%0a

We+just+got+back%2e%2e%2ewow+what+a+place%21++The+staff+is+very+good%2c+the+food+is+good+no+one+went+hungry%2e+We+are+booked+again+for+next+year%2e++Check+out+the+rampage+program+for+older+scouts%2c+there+is+something+for+each+age%2c+Raven+Scouts%2c+Senior+Raven+Scouts%2c+Mert+Badge+programs+%28great%29+and+Rampage+for+high+adventure%2e++We+have+found+a+great+camp%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aCommittee+Chairman%0d%0aTroop+165+%0d%0aMcDonough%2c+Georgia%0d%0a

This+was+my+first+year+at+a+scout+summer+camp+%28Jun+2011%29%2c+so+I%27m+afraid+now+of+the+future+since+this+was+an+awesome+camp%21+The+CRK+staff+made+all+the+difference+with+the+positive+attitude+and+very+fast+serving+line+%28900%2b+in+20+minutes%29%2e+Every+camp+should+come+here+and+learn+how+to+serve+meals%2e%0d%0a

Attended+Raven+Knob+Scout+Reservation+during+week+five%2c+we+took+30%2b+boys+and+several+adult+advisors%2e++The+camp+was+incredible%2c+the+staff+is+very+knowledgable+and+did+an+excellent+job+with+the+boys%2e++There+were+1000%2b+scouts%2c+leaders+and+staff+present+for+the+week+%28and+yes%2c+the+dining+hall+can+handle+everyone+at+one+seating%21%29%2e++Food+was+excellent+and+served+in+a+timely+manner%2c+our+kids+spent+many+evenings+at+the+trading+post+meeting+new+scouts+and+soaking+up+the+camp+experience%2e++The+Raven+Scout+program+%28designed+for+first+year+scouts%29+is+the+best+I%27ve+ever+seen%2e++In+addition%2c+there+was+a+huge+offering+of+merit+badge+classes%2e++The+Wednesday+night+OA+Tapout+ceremony+is+a+true+experience%2c+a+tribute+to+both+Native+American+and+Scouting+history%2e++This+camp+definitely+one+of+the+premier+Scouting+camps+in+the+country%21++The+camp+is+at+the+tail+end+of+a+%242%2e9+million+capital+campaign+%2d+so%2c+its+only+going+to+get+better%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aJeff+Jones%0d%0aAssistant+Scoutmaster%0d%0aTroop+731+%2d+Clemmons+NC%0d%0a

My+troop+and+I+attended+CRK+this+year+after+taking+a+year+to+go+some+where+different%2e+I+have+been+coming+here+since+a+boy+in+1972%2e++Everyone+says+it+is+the+best+and+now+that+I+have+been+some+where+different+I+can+honestly+say+%22It+is+one+of+the+best%22%2e++Keith+is+doing+a+good+job+as+camp+director%2e+Food+was+good%2e++When+you+are+serving+700+in+15+min+it+is+hard+to+have+moms+home+cooking%2e++Waterfront+staff+was+great+to+my+boys+I+had+one+that+is+not+comfortable+in+the+lake+water+they+worked+tireless+with+him%2e++The+new+climbing+tower+is+great+Hope+they+keep+expanding+that+area+with+new+cope+course%2e++It+is+the+biggest+around%2e++Out+standing+shotgun+and+rifle+ranges%2e++%0d%0a%0d%0aIf+I+could+offer+some+things+to+change+maybe+a+friendship+game+on+sunday+night%2c+camp+wide+games+on+friday+and+a+theme+for+the+summer%2e++The+camp+we+went+to+last+year+did+one+so+my+troop+came+up+with+our+on+we+did+a+beach+theme+the+boys+dressed+up+their+cabins+to+look+like+a+beach+house+and+we+wore+flower+shirts+to+lunch+one+day%2e%0d%0a%0d%0akeep+up+the+improvements+great+job%21%21%0d%0a%0d%0aSteve+Shaw+SM+troop+553%0d%0a

This+camp+has+changed+a+lot%2e+I+do+not+recommend+this+camp+until+they+do+a+very+big+overhaul+from+admin+to+merit+badge+staff%2e+Our+request+before+summer+camp+seemed+to+fall+on+deaf+ears%2c+for+a+camp+site+with+power+for+an+adult+that+needs+a+C%2dPAP+machine%2e+Once+we+got+to+camp+we+found+out+that+our+site+shared+a+a+latrine+and+shower+with+two+other+sites%2c+2+showers%2c+2+urinals%2c+and+three+toilets+to+share+between+65+boys+and+10+plus+adults%2e+We+also+found+out+that+our+water+bubblier+was+broken+and+that+when+we+ask+for+a+replacement+and+that+we+would+install+it+it+did+not+happen%2c+Wednesday+I+decided+to+take+it+apart+and+find+out+if+i+could+fix+it%2e+Once+i+took+it+apart+I+found+the+part+that+was+missing+and+went+down+to+the+barn+to+see+if+they+had+the+missing+part%2c+i+found+the+missing+part+along+with+3+working+spare+water+bubbliers%2e+None+of+the+platform+tents+were+set+up+correctly%2c+and+were+falling+down%2e+We+went+to+town+and+got+the+supplies+to+fix+the+tents+and+level+out+the+platforms+and+then+we+were+told+that+the+camp+might+not+like+us+setting+the+tents+up+the+right+way+because+it+would+mean+more+work+on+the+teardown%2e+We+had+problems+with+merit+badge+councilors+not+knowing+the+material+for+the+badges+they+were+teaching%2e+The+dining+hall+was+a+mess+after+every+meal+Troops+were+not+made+to+clean+up+and+sweep+and+mop+after+each+meal%2c+there+was+food+under+tables+on+Saturday+that+was+left+on+Monday+morning%2e+The+Staff+wore+hats+in+the+dining+hall+and+let+unruly+behavior+happen+while+troops+were+eating%2e+The+food+portions+were+small%2c+the+taste+was+something+else+to+be+desired%2e+Cooking+merit+badge+was+done+only+from+canned+foods+so+they+did+not+teach+proper+food+handling%2e+%0d%0a+++The+First+Year+Program+%28Raven+Scouts%29+was+the+camps+few+saving+graces%2c+that+staff+was+very+knowledgeable%2c+and+could+pass+the+knowledge+off+with+ease+and+understanding%2e+They+were+great%2c+my+younger+Scouts+learned+a+lot+from+them%2e+%0d%0a%0d%0a+++This+was+the+fourth+time+that+our+Troop+has+gone+to+this+camp%2c+the+last+was+three+years+before%2e+That+year+the+camp+was+great+I+do+not+know+what+happen+from+then+to+now+but+something+did+and++it+was+not+good%2e+Our+Troop+has+gone+to+a+lot+of+camps+in+the+past+and+it+will+be+awhile+till+we+think+about+going+to+this+one+again%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a%0d%0aK%2eR%2e+Sandberg%0d%0aTroop+365%0d%0aPalm+Bay%2c+FL%0d%0a
