The Devil's Marbleyard is part of a State Forest in VA and is a unique geological event. There a large granite formation under the central US about 700 miles long and 300 miles wide under the East Coast and runs through to the Appalachian Mountains. At one point it breaks through to the surface where ice has broken off cube-like or rectangular-like solids the size of railroad cars and they have rolled down the mountain. On a Geo. Survey Map it is depicted as a white scar and is labeled. Scouts enjooooooooooooy climbing over the rocks. Surrounding the area is a branch of the Appalachian Trail.
