Camping here in January is great. Temperatures in the 60-70's. Scouts can play on the beach (2 miles of beach in the park) or fish in lakes on the bay side of the island. Campground has improved campsites with water, electricity, and picnic shelters just behind the dunes. You camp within 100 yards of the water. It takes some getting used to the constant roar of the surf.
