Manatoc Scout Reservation contains two separate camps--Camp Manatoc & Camp Butler.

This is one of the best kept Scout Reservations in Central Region. Hats off to Ranger Christopher Bergdorf and the Camping Committee for a Superb Scout Camp.

This Scout Camp has great year round camping facilities. Theare a number of Troop Lodges, a conference center, a beautiful Training Lodge, a brand new Maintenance facility at Camp Manatoc. There is weekend winter camping in cabins as well as in tents. The camp has over 600 acres. It has an excellent Summer Camp with 8 weeks of Summer camp offered in 2001. Dining Hall feeding. This is one of the best summer camp programs in the Central Region of the Boy Scouts. They has Cub Resident Camp at Camp Butler (adjacent to Camp Manatoc). Camp+Butler+was+developed+for+a+very+special+purpose%3a+to+give+boys%2c+as+part+of+their+own+unit%2c+with+their+own+leadership%2c+the+experience+of+living+in+a+camp+situation+where+they+must+do+their+own+camp%2dmaking+and+cooking%2c+independent+of+other+units+and+camp+services%2e+This+type+of+camp+was+of+special+value+to+new+as+well+as+established+units%2c+in+that+a+skilled+program+leader+was+available+to+aid+and+live+with+the+unit+during+its+six%2dday+camp+period+and+allowed+the+unit+to+use+the+patrol+method%2e+%0d%0a%0d%0a
