I%27m+biased+because+I+was+on+staff+at+7R+for+a+summer+but+this+is+a+great+camping+experience%2e++Location+is++nice+and+the+programs+are+superb%2e++Facilities+are+top+notch%2c+the+massive+dining+hall+on+the+hill+is+a+sight+to+see%2e++40+Acre+Man%2dmade+Lake+Don+Brown+offers+plenty+of+aquatic+activities%2c+900+acres+of+former+tree+farm+land+to+explore+%28that%27s+why+all+the+trees+are+in+such+straight+lines%29+and+a+wide+range+of+camp+site+sizes+to+choose+from%2e++Dedicated+staff+that+is+usually+like+me%2c+grew+up+going+to+the+camp+and+now+works+there%2e++Last+but+not+least+the+Pipestone+Honor+Camper+Program+every+Friday+night+is+a+great++way+to+end+each+week%2e++Over+400+Scouts+and+Scouters+from+around+the+area+come+out+on+Friday+nights+to+ensure+that+each+new+group+of+campers+gets+the+same+experience+that+they+all+did%2e++Excellent+camp%21%0d%0a

Being+an+Assistant+Scoutmaster+now%2c+I+can+look+back+and+give+a+fair+assessment%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aIf+it+wasn%27t+for+this+camp%2c+I+could+NOT+have+reached+the+rank+of+Eagle%2e+This+camp+is+great+and+has%2c+generally%2c+a+terrific+staff+and+program%2e+They+are+HEAVILY+based+on+tradition+and+some+self+discipline%2c+such+as+entering+the+dining+hall+silently+with+arms+folded%2e+If+you+are+looking+to+help+form+scouts+that+will+look+back+and+be+more+than+happy+with+what+they+accomplish%2c+go+here%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aAnd+Pipestone%2e+There+is+NO+better+way+to+end+your+week+at+camp%2e%0d%0a

I+was+an+ASM+with+a+troop+from+Cleveland+Council+that+went+to+Seven+Ranges+on+the+recommendation+of+one+scout+%2d+and+we+returned+four+more+years%21++GREAT+merit+badge%2c+conservation+programs%3b+PIPESTONE+is+fantastic%21++I+moved+to+Wisconsin%2c+and+nearest+troop+to+us+GOES+TO+SEVEN+RANGES+each+year%21%0d%0a

This+camp+is+HEAVILY+based+on+tradition%2e++If+you+are+not+prepared+for+it%2c+it+takes+some+adjusting%2e++7R+needs+to+work+on+communication+skills+with+first+time+troops%2c+because+they+have+many+area+troops+that+return+based+on+the+Pipestone+tradition+year+after+year+and+the+location+for+Western+Ohio+is+easy+to+get+to%2e++As+a+new+troop+you+feel+left+out+quickly%2e%0d%0aThe+food+portions+are+extremely+small%2c+especially+after+a+full+day+of+activities+can+stir+up+quite+an+appetite+for+any+boy%2e++Many+boys+and+leaders+walk+away+still+hungry%2e%0d%0aThe+equipment+for+the+Archery%2c+rifle+and+shotgun+are+somewhat+outdated%2cand+can+take+a+couple+days+just+to+get+used+to+the+equipment%2c+which+makes+it+somewhat+challenging+to+obtain+your+points+for+the+individual+merit+badges%2e++There+are+fees+for+Archery+and+shotgun+that+you+need+to+be+prepared+for%2e%0d%0aThe+Staff+seems+either+extremely+awesome+or+totally+militant%2c+either+way+they+are+having+a+%22blast%22%2e%0d%0a
