Camp has many cabins. Area is Oak Savanna and is on old sand dunes from the last ice age. OA Museum open Saturdays from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. The Camp was acquired in 1916. COSI Toledo is an easy trip.

Miakonda is a genuinely legendary Boy Scout camp that was purchased in 1917 (and not in 1916). It is one of the twelve oldest surviving Boy Scout camps in the nation and is the oldest in Ohio. It is one of the most storied Scout camps in America and has a truly extraordinary history. At one time it had the world's longest swimming pool (480 feet long), had a midair campsite composed of eight treehouses with built in bunkbeds, had a camp flagpole that was the main mast off a Great Lakes freighter (with a crows nest)and many other features that made it a real life never-never land for boys. A very special camp.
