Follow HW 130 from Laramie, WY past Centennial, WY toward Saratoga. After passing the Forest Service Center, there are a series of great trails all through the area suitable for backpacking, basecamping, etc. See appropriate Topo maps for trail locations. Recommendations for destinations include any of the lakes in the area, Telephone, Gap Lakes, etc. Medicine Bow peak can be climbed via the nice trail system. During the winter, the area boasts nearly 50 miles of backcountry ski trails suitable for skiing, snowshoeing, or Mt. Biking in the summer. The area is also a popular snowmobile destination.
