For a very nice Trip: There are several very nice campsites along the Upper Colorado River on the Pumphouse to State Bridge Section accessible by raft. These campsites have picnic tables and porta-potties, and are marked by signs with numbers, and names. They are first come first served so launch before lunch to get one. Pumphouse Rec Area (the put-in) is found by driving S of Kremmling, CO, on HW 9 toward Dillon, across the Colorado River, up the hill and turn W on the Colorado Scenic By-way toward Pumphouse Rec Area.
