Devils Lake is situated in the Baraboo Range in central WI. Every October it hosts a "Scout Jamboree" of sorts. The scouts climb the rocky bluffs that surround the lake.

The Annual Scout weekend at Devil's Lake is sponsored by an organization called Badger Trails. It is held the first weekend of October and is open to Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and any other youth organizations. We've seen church youth groups, groups from high schools, etc. After hiking the 14 miles of trails, up and down the bluffs surrounding Devil's Lake all day, the kids can be pretty worn out. But they aren't too tired to attend the dances (one for those aged 14 up and one for those under 14) that the organizers hold on Saturday evening. If you can't make it the first weekend of October, this is still a great place to come and camp and hike.
