Great place for seeing the caverns, also spelunking. Camp Williams is about 30 miles away so if you plan to visit Alabaster park, you can beat some of the expense, and stay at Camp Williams.
Our+troop+camped+here+in+1999+in+about+June%2e++We+had+a+good+quiet+campout%2e++The+Pool+was+open%2c+the+lifeguards+and+everyone+else+there+were+very+friendly%2e++It%27s+a+good+campout+for+a+young+troop%2e++Cooking%2c+Eating%2c+Sleeping%2c+Hking%2c+and+Swimming%2e++The+alabaster+is+interesting+to+see%2c+and+the+various+Nature+MBs%2c+might+get+some+work%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aTroop+510%0d%0a
The+pool+was+closed+due+to+a+crack+in+the+summer+of+2002%2e++Also+at+this+time%2c+2+of+the+undeveloped+self%2dexploration+caves+%28hoe%2ddown+and+ice+stalacitite%29+are+closed+because+they+exit+on+private+property+and+the+land+owner+wants+a+share+of+the+wild+caving+permit+fee%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aCave+camping+is+available%2c+ask+the+Park+Office+for+details%2e%0d%0a
