I+spent+the+second+weekend+of+Wood+Badge+at+the+Hollis+Center%2e+This+is+a+Christian+Retreat+Center+with+some+buildings%2c+showers%2c+etc%2e%2c+but+there+is+also+space+for+Troops+to+put+up+tents%2e+All+we+used+were+the+latrines+and+the+open%2dair+pavilion+for+some+of+the+classes+taught%2e+There+were+some+trails+available%2c+but+I+did+not+have+any+time+to+explore+them%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aOne+of+the+Scouts+in+our+Troop+also+did+an+Eagle+Project+at+the+Hollis+Center%2e+I+was+busy+on+another+Scouting+activity+so+didn%27t+attend%2c+but+the+work+revolved+around+improving+the+trail+system%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aI+understand+that+our+Troop+use+to+camp+regularly+at+the+Hollis+Center%2c+but+it+has+not+done+so+in+the+1+1%2f2+years+I+have+been+associated+with+it%2e+One+of+the+%22old%2dtimers%22+told+me+that+the+Hollis+Center+raised+their+rental+fee+for+Scout+Troops+and+the+Troop+decided+to+explore+other+cheaper+options%2e%0d%0a
Our+troop+has+camped+here+several+times+and+enjoyed+it%2e+It%27s+only+30+minutes+from+our+CO+%26+a+good+place+to+go+in+the+winter+months%2e+During+the+rest+of+the+year%2c+there+are+service+projects+available+to+reduce+the+cost+of+the+camping+fees+as+it+is+a+church+camp%2e+There+is+a+lodge+that+can+be+rented%2e+During+the+winter%2c+our+troop+often+camps+on+Friday+night+%26+then+sometime+Saturday+afternoon+go+into+the+lodge+for+Saturday+night+making+it+a+game+night%2e%0d%0a
