While+not+a+%22camp%2c%22+there+are+several+opportunities+for+Boy+Scouts+at+the+Cosmosphere%2e+First%2c+Scouts+can+complete+a+1%2f2+dozen+Merit+Badges+through+its+various+programs+but+there+is+a+price+to+do+so%2e+Second%2c+Scouts+can+do+an+overnight+and+earn+a+single+or+two+MBs+on+one+visit%2e+Third%2c+there+are+programs+where+Scouts+can+earn+a+MB+during+the+day+at+the+Cosmosphere+and+then+sleep+in+one+of+the+Salt+Mines+that+night%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aLastly%2c+the+Cosmosphere+runs+a+Space+Camp+for+Boy+Scouts+from+after+the+5th+grade+year+to+after+the+8th+grade+year+where+in+5+days+and+4+nights%2c+the+Scouts+can+earn+5+Merit+Badges%3a+Astronomy%2c+Aviation%2c+Engineering%2c+Space+Exploration%2c+and+Weather%2e+Supposedly+this+is+the+normal+Space+Camp+program+with+slight+changes+in+order+to+meet+all+the+requirements+for+all+5+MBs%2e+There+are+no+prerequisites+for+the+camp+and+the+staff+member+is+a+MB+Counselor+for+all+the+MBs%2e+My+son+will+be+attending+this+camp+in+August+2014+so+I+will+know+more+about+it+then%2e%0d%0a
Troop+has+participated+in+the+program%2c+but+I+did+not+go%2e+Seemed+to+go+fine%2e+There+is+a+church+nearby+where+Scouts+can+stay+overnight+%28no+charge%29+if+they+do+not+want+to+camp%2e+As+for+%22The+Merits+of+Space%22+summer+camp%2c+my+son+had+a+blast+when+he+went+earning+5+merit+badges%2e+Another+Scout+in+our+troop+went+the+following+year+%26+earned+those+5+plus+another+one%2e+He+always+wanted+to+go+back+to+another+Space+Camp%2c+but+could+never+find+the+time%2e%0d%0a
