Very busy state park with nice scout area. Great location! John Shut Ins, Taum Sauk Mtn (MO highest point), Elephant Rocks SP and Fort Davidson Hist Site are all close by and great for extended day trips. Can also hike 25 mile loop from Johnson Shut Ins SP to top of Taum Sauk and back, or hike 3 mile loop from top of Taum Sauk to Mina Sauk falls and back. David Harris, SM Troop 134, Ashland MO
