Nice+main+cabin+with+shower%2c+bathroom%2c+kitchen+facility%2e++2+%22cabins%22+for+youth+sleeping+and+separate+shower%2fbathroom+facility+for+them+as+well%2e++The+youth+cabins+are+disgusting%2e++I+was+appalled+to+see+the+conditions+the+kids+had+to+sleep+in+on+my+first+%28and+hopefully+last%29+trip+to+Delezenne%2e++The+bunks+were+inadequate+in+quantity+and+the+mattresses+were+not+the+correct+size+and+were+very+much+used%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aOnly+if+the+boys+decide+that+they+want+to+return+to+this+camp+will+I+do+so%2e++Hopefully+they+will+decide+otherwise%2e++I+do+NOT+recommend+this+camp+in+its+present+condition%2e%0d%0a

If+you+havent+visited+Delezenne+in+awhile+I+suggest+you+come+see+it%2e+I+have+been+the+caretaker+for+the+last+two+years+since+May+2010+and+still+am+currently+working+on+projects+to+enhance+the+camp+experience%2e+The+cabins+now+have+new+mattress+in+them+but+it+is+a+camp+and+the+serene+campsites+we+have+along+Delezenne+Creek+accomedate+different+size+groups+rather+well%2e%0d%0a

Camp+Delezenne+in+Elma%2c+Washington+no+longer+operates+as+a+Council+Camp+since+2016%2e+Currently+being+logged+for+profit+by+the+Pacific+Harbors+Council%2e%0d%0a

A+Boy+Scout+camp+since+1963%2c+Camp+Delezenne+is+leased+from+the+Weyerhaeuser+Co%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aThe+camp+was+decommissioned+in+May+2017+after+Boy+Scout+management+became+alarmed+about+alleged+criminal+activity+at+a+nearby+property%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a%93We+had+concerns+about+the+safety+of+our+children%2c%94+Voelker+said%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aToday%2c+camp+buildings+are+boarded+up%2e+%93Empty+Keep+Out%2c%94+has+been+spray+painted+on+them%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aThe+grounds+are+overgrown%2e+Someone+has+arranged+old+bus+seats+around+a+campfire%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aIf+the+camp+goes+unused+for+five+years%2c+the+lease+reverts+back+to+Weyerhaeuser%2c+Voelker+said%2e%0d%0a%0d%0a%93%28Weyerhaeuser%29+wishes+Scouts+could+still+use+it%2c%94+Voelker+said%2e+%94They%92ve+been+a+dear+friend+to+the+Boy+Scouts+and+continue+to+be+so%2e%94%0d%0a%0d%0aCurrently%2c+the+camp+is+in+what+Voelker+called+a+waiting+period%2e%0d%0a%0d%0aWeyerhaeuser+did+not+return+a+request+for+information%2e%0d%0a
