Our District has held several Klondike Derbys at this site, the most recent the last weekend in Feb 2000. Higher elevation holds snow better than lower locations. There are a number of winter cabins available to rent with wood stoves for heating. There is a large group camping area suitable for District level camping. There are warming huts in the area and a HQ dining shelter. Good cross country ski trails and summer hiking trails. Clay Converse, Tioughnioga Dist, Baden Powell Council
